General: Following the running of race 1 and the wet bulb thermometer readings stewards deemed that under the heat policy guidelines the greyhounds would be kept in the kennels for at least two races following their event to allow the dogs to cool down prior to leaving the track. |

The lure jumped off the cable at the conclusion of the races on five occasions. This is not acceptable. Stewards have ordered that between the club and Racing Queensland this is to be rectified before the next meeting on 26 December 2023 |

2. Mr. Mister - Late scratching at 11:10 am due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Mr Brian Terry was fined $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b) |

4. Trinity My Mum – Underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was cleared to race. Checked on the first turn. Faulted in its actions in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside and nearside thigh muscle sprain & offside wrist sprain, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

|
Following the conclusion of the event the lure came off the cable causing the event to finish on lure, the club is working with Racing Queensland to rectify this issue. |

|
|
4. Midnight Prince – Checked and fell immediately after the start before regaining footing and completing the event A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. |

7. Let’s Win Mindee – Tightened for racing room, checked off hind quarters and fell heavily entering the first turn before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. |

Race 6 - BUNDABERG MAIDEN 1000 FINAL MAIDEN 460m |

Following the conclusion of the event the lure came off the cable causing the event to finish on lure, the club is working with Racing Queensland to rectify this issue. |

1. Red Wine – Deviated attention towards runner on the outside on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Back muscle strain and thigh muscle strains, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr Gary Cluse regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 10 day stand down at Bundaberg and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

6. Smudged – Hampered by another runner on the first turn, Faulted in its actions and gave ground on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an inner thigh muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days. |

|
|
9. Cheeky Chan – Checked and lost footing and gave ground immediately after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. |

Race 8 - CHRISTMAS CUP FINAL OPEN 460m |

Following the conclusion of the event the lure came off the cable causing the event to finish on lure, the club is working with Racing Queensland to rectify this issue. |

4. Dodgy Mick – Shifted wider in the back straight and faulted in its actions entering the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a pin muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

|
|
Following the conclusion of the event the lure came off the cable causing the event to finish on lure, the club is working with Racing Queensland to rectify this issue. |

2. Need A Lawyer – Dragged down from behind entering the first turn. |
|
|
|
4. Hotshot Bear - Checked off the heels and fell heavily entering the first turn before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. |

3. Fabio’s Ethics – Checked and gave ground shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed triceps and back muscle injuries, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |
