General:

·       Stewards monitored the temperature both inside the kennel block & on the track throughout the course of the meeting and implemented various procedures in line with the QRIC heat policy.

·       Following the hot temperatures & humidity levels stewards ordered that the greyhounds be kept for a minimum of 2 x races after their event to let the greyhounds recover in the air conditioning.

·       The decision was also made that instead of standing out in the sun on the track for previews they could stand in the parading area under a shade gazebo to keep the dogs out of the heat.
