Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN (1) 315m

 

1. Aston Treadrea – Beaten Favorite. Went up with the lids and gave ground.

 

Race 2 – ISFAB MAIDEN (2) 315m

 

7. Jaspers Jackpot – A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside wrist sprain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 3 – SKY RACING NOVICE 315m

 

1. She’s Lady Like – Faulted in its actions, lost footing entering the front straight. Checked and knocked off balance and gave ground in the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6. Cambla Princess - Deviated attention from the lure towards a runner on the inside in the front straight but did not make muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside wrist sprain and hip strains and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Mr Stephen Bland regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – a 7 day stand down at Bundaberg and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 4 – WALKER ST WHOLESALE BAKERY NOV/M 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 5 -GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 315m  

 

3. Street Scandal - Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Ron Brook and issued a $100.00 fine acting under GAR 156(f)(ii) for being negligent in that he presented the greyhound with the incorrect rug in the parading area prior to the running of the race.

 

8.Kingston Apache – A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside fore split webbing and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 6 - CARVE INDUSTRIES MIXED 4/5 460m

 

3. Easy To See - Deviated attention from lure towards another runner on the inside and made muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr Rusty Dillon regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Bundaberg and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next

 

4. Miss Slimm – Checked entering the first turn. Gave ground entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Allan Thrower regarding the greyhound’s performance. He stated that the dog had not started for three months. Stewards noted the explanation and advised him they would be monitoring the greyhounds future starts.

 

Race 7 -GLOBAL TURF 1-5 WINS 531m  

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 8 - BUNDABERG GRAND PRIX FINAL OPEN 531m

 

1, Hollow Hayze - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and revealed bruising on the thigh & hip muscle strains and under the provisions of GAR 92(2) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. TAB was notified @ 1:40pm

 

Race 9 - CRAFT RENTALS GRADE 5 460m

 

3. Easy Beat – Checked and disadvantaged on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside wrist and hip muscle strain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

6. Hold My Bear – Checked and lost footing on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
