Race 1 - MUNN'S PLUMBING MAIDEN 315m

 

1. Spot On Betty – Faulted in its actions entering the first turn and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist sprain, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

6.  Grace For Alyssa – Entering the front straight deviated its attention from the lure to a runner on its outside and made muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Taylor, the trainer of Grace For Alyssa, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the front straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring. Mr Taylor pleaded guilty to the breach, the greyhound was suspended for 28 days at Bundaberg and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

Race 2 – TAB NOVICE 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 3 - TOTAL GREENS TURF GRADE 5 (1) 315m

 

3. Bonny Boy – Checked off the heals, fell heavily before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed spike wound. With no stand down issued.

 

5. Bless Shoe – Collided with fallen runners entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial before returning to racing.

 

7. Slick Ram – Checked off the heels of another runner entering the first turn and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a toe injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

 

8. I’m Flipper – Checked and dragged down from behind entering the first turn. Fell heavily and did not complete the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside radius & ulna injury, a nearside leg injury and greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds. This matter will now be referred to the greyhound injury review panel.

 

Race 4 - SKY RACING MIXED 3/4 315m

 

·       Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

 

7. Oreo Ethics – Checked, faulted in its actions soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back muscle injury, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial before returning to racing.

 

Race 5 - CARVE INDUSTRIES 1-5 WINS 531m

 

4. Midnight Prince – Checked of the heels of another runner entering the second turn and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

6. Weaver’s Cut – Checked heavily off the heels of another runner entering the second turn and fell before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

7. Lone Pilot – Deviated its attention towards a runner on the outside but did not make muzzle contact in the front straight. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr Kerry Perret regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to pursue 1st offence with 28 days stand down at Bundaberg and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 7 - WALKER ST WHOLESALE BAKERY GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

1. Little Fawn Bear – Checked off the heels of another runner entering the second turn and gave ground before pulling up in the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside metacarpal injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a veterinary clearance trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the injury review panel.

 

2. Go Go Cambla – Checked heavily entering the second turn, fell before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a shoulder injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

 

Race 8 - GLOBAL TURF 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 460m

 

·       Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 9 – ISFAB MIXED 3/4 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 10 - CRAFT RENTALS MA5 460m

Race 11 - RACE REVOLUTION GRADE 5 (2) 315m

 

2. Cruel Franky – Checked off the heels of another runner entering the first turn and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside metacarpal injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a veterinary clearance trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the injury review panel.

 

7. Cambla Princess – Faulted in its actions on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a wrist sprain, triceps, and deltoid muscle strains, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.
