General:

· Following stewards delaying the All Clear to review replay footage race 9 was declared a no race due to the 315m boxes malfunctioning and the lids not opening properly and several greyhounds hit the lids leaving the boxes. In the opinion of the stewards this had materially affected the result and therefore acting under the provisions of GAR 110 declared the event a No Race.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 315m

2. Glass Of Gold – Checked and shifted wider on the first turn.

7. Aston Treadrea – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 460m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 3 – GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 460m

3. First Class Izzy – Tightened for racing room entering the second turn, shortened stride, pulled up and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist and elbow injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 28 days and will need to perform a satisfactory veterinary clearance trial before future nominations will be accepted.

5. Nine Of Hearts – Checked shortly after start and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside and offside wrist sprains and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 21 days.

Race 4 - GLOBAL TURF GRADE 5 531m

· Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track surface and were satisfied that it was satisfactory for racing.

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 5 - CRAFT RENTALS MIXED 3/4 315m

2. Spot On Mate – Checked and collided with another runner falling heavily on the first turn and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside elbow injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 28 days and will need to perform a satisfactory veterinary clearance trial before future nominations will be accepted.

Race 6 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS MIXED 4/5 315m

· Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track surface and were satisfied that it was satisfactory for racing.

2. Sweet Ethics – Checked off heels of another runner and shifted wider. entering the first turn. Checked heavily On the first turn, knocked off balance then collided with the outside fence before regaining balance and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 7 - SHERRIFF ELECTRICAL GRADE 5 460m

· Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track surface and were satisfied that it was satisfactory for racing.

· No matters of concern to stewards

Race 8 - RACE REVOLUTION MIXED 4/5 460m

4. Mr. Mister – Checked entering the first turn and gave ground before completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside and nearside pad abrasions and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 7 days.

5. By Order Of – Checked heavily on the first turn, knocked off balance and fell before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside shoulder bruising and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 5 days.

6. Aston Luton - Collided with fallen runner and fell on the first turn before regaining footing and completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside shoulder bruising and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 5 days.

Race 9 - ISFAB GRADE 5 315m

· Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track surface and were satisfied that it was satisfactory for racing.

1. Louisiana Flyer – Hit the lower frame of the starting boxes due to a malfunction. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a forehead laceration and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 7 days.

Race 10 - WALKER ST WHOLESALE BAKERY 5PW 315m

1. Buttercup Babe – Entering the first turn, took an awkward stride and gave ground before completing the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind dislocated toe and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 7 days.

5. Solo Rambo – Slow to begin. On the first turn faulted in its actions and shifted wider giving ground entering the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside front nail injury and an offside leg injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 60 days and will need to perform a satisfactory veterinary clearance trial before future nominations will be accepted. This matter will now be referred to the greyhound injury review panel.

8. Flying Ronaldo – Checked and shifted wider entering the first turn and took no further competitive part in the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist sprain, offside back muscle strain, and sub lumbar muscle strains, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 21 days.

Race 11 - CARVE INDUSTRIES MA5 (1) 460m

· Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track surface and were satisfied that it was satisfactory for racing.

· No matters of concern to stewards

Race 12 - TOTAL GREENS TURF MA5 (2) 460m

2. Memories Keep – Tightened for racing room, checked on the first turn and gave ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside back muscle strain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) was stood down for 14 days.
