General:

· Following the 315m boxes malfunctioning the week prior a technician was Called to the track and inspected the 315m boxes and replaced a faulty ram piston on the boxes. Also, the other distances starting boxes (460m & 531m) were serviced and assessed.

· Due to a power surge, there was no SKY TV coverage on the track or the stewards tower, starting signal times were given using the internet coverage & betting app timers. The club is rectifying this issue before the next race meeting.

Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 460m

5.Aston Biden – lost footing on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

7. Aussie Banter – Checked soon after the start. Faulted in its actions and gave ground on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside back muscle strain under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

8. Knopler – A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside wrist sprain & offside flexor tendon injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 315m

7.Barra Girl – Beaten favourite, checked soon after the start. Checked entering the first turn.

Race 3 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MA5 460m

1. Faiza Bale - underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have offside sprung toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial prior to returning to racing

Race 4 - GLOBAL TURF MIXED 3/4 460m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 5 - CRAFT RENTALS GRADE 5 (1) 315m

1. She’s Bonnie – Beaten favourite Checked off heels on the first turn.

Race 6 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (2) 315m

1. Pure Athlete - Late scratching at 11:05 am due to weight variation (GAR 101(1). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, John Jeffrey was fined $100 acting under GAR 101(3)(b)

5.Mung Bean - Late scratching at 10:25 am due to weight variation (GAR 101(1). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Will Warner was fined $100 acting under GAR 101(3)(b)

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 7 - MUNN'S PLUMBING MIXED 3/4 315m

1. Tommy Tuna – Beaten favourite, Missed the jump, stayed wider entire event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

4. Cambla Miracle - Late scratching at 8:55 am due to the greyhound being on season, a  28 day stand down period was imposed

Race 8 - TOTAL GREENS TURF 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 460m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 9 - CARVE INDUSTRIES 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 460m

1. Easy As That – Checked off the heels, shifted wider and collided with other runners.

5. Splittin’ Tens – Checked heavily on the first turn and gave ground entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside wrist sprain & offside sub lumbar muscle strain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.
