RQ
MAIDEN 1000 FINAL 410M Even start with ELITE FIVE slow to
begin. FLASH MURRI crossed from a wide
position approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in interference
to HEATHAN BRETT, WILDASH FRED, RAIL GUN and LUSIMA. FLASH MURRI shifted out approaching the
turn into the front straight bumping LACHY KNOCKA causing that greyhound to
become unbalanced and lose ground.
FLASH MURRI continued to shift out bumping RAIL GUN. FLASH MURRI shifted in entering the front
straight causing some inconvenience to CYCLONE BELLE. FLASH MURRI continued to shift bumping
heavily with ELITE FIVE resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. Stewards questioned the racing manners of
CYCLONE BELLE in particular the front straight. Subsequently Stewards acting under the
provisions of GAR 69.1 stood CYCLONE BELLE down from racing for a period of
28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring. Stewards also questioned the racing manners
of FLASH MURRI in particular on the turn into the front straight. A veterinary inspection of the greyhound
revealed a near hind leg muscle injury.
Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69.B.1 stood
FLASH MURRI down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for
failing to pursue with injury. |
