QUALITY TIMBERS MAREEBA NOVICE 410M

TAPATAK was the best to begin.  ASA ABBANDANDO was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight.  RAIL GUN and SWIFT BERNARD bumped entering the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds.  ASA ABBANDANDO checked across the heels of TAPATAK and shifted out bumping heavily with RAIL GUN prior to turning into the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to SWIFT BERNARD.  ASA ABBANDANDO shifted out entering the front straight bumping heavily with RAIL GUN resulting  in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

CURTIS PITT M.P.5th GRADE 410M

ZIPPING CARLTON was a late scratching on veterinary advice.  Bookmaker was advised to rule off the sheet.  A deduction of .18¢ in the dollar on win bets and .15¢ in the dollar on place bets above the line was directed prior to the “ALL CLEAR” being semaphored.

 

BILLY KNOCKA was the best to begin.  STARZAR GOLD was slow to begin.  SPUDNUT checked off BANDALORE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to FARMOR GREENIES.  FARMOR GREENIES raced wide on the turn into the home straight.

The start of the race was delayed one minute due to interstate harness racing.

 

FARMOR TO DO was the best to begin.  FACE TIME and WESTOVER were slow to begin.  SELFIE checked off MALIAN REIGN and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SELFIE shifted out entering the front straight forcing MISS GRAND THEFT to race wide.  HI HOMBRE and FACE TIME raced wide in the home straight.

ALLRIG LIFTING – BEST 8 – 410M

BELLA MARLO was slow to begin.  SHINEY THINGS crossed from a wide position on the turn into the back straight tightening AMY’S ELITE who lost ground.  SHINEY THINGS continued to shift in tightening PATJACK LOMAR who also lost ground.  WHERE’S BLOCKER and SHAKE YOUR BOOTY were tightening for racing room entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  FROM THE TAP checked across the heels of BELLA MARLO and lost some ground entering the home straight.

IRENE DRURY MEMORIAL MAIDEN CRN – FINAL – 410M

MOTOWN HOLLY was the best to begin.  GIVEAWAY LASS checked off CAPTAIN DJAY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  RHONDA’S STAR checked off HEATHAN BRETT and lost ground in the back straight causing interference to GIVEAWAY LASS.  RHONDA’S STAR checked off the hindquarters of HEATHAN BRETT and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.  GIVEAWAY LASS and DIAMONDBACH bumped heavily on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and falling causing interference to HEATHAN BRETT.

FISHERY FALLS HOTEL 4/5th GRADE FINAL 410M

Even start.  CABOCHON was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  PA TING checked off the heels of MADAGASTER entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  PA TING checked off the heels of MADADAM and lost ground in the back straight.  BIG BAD BLOCKER checked off the heels of MADAGASTER entering the front straight.  Shortly after MADAGASTER checked across the heels of PRINCE OF DOOM.  MADAGASTER raced wide in the home straight.  CABOCHON tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a near front leg injury.

CENTURY CRANES CAIRNS CUP CONSOLATION 544M

BIG EASY RED and POISED TO POUNCE were the best to begin.  FLASH HOUDINI, COSMIC LAMP and ZIPPING BUBBA were slow to begin.  BIG EASY RED, POISED TO POUNCE, ROCKET’S MAGIC and CABARET TONIGHT bumped shortly after the start resulting in the four greyhounds becoming unbalanced with POISED TO POUNCE and ROCKET’S MAGIC losing ground.  POISED TO POUNCE and FLASH HOUDINI bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in POISED TO POUNCE losing considerable ground.  POISED OT POUNCE checked across the heels of ZIPPING BUBBA and became unbalanced on the turn into the home straight.  COSMIC LAMP tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed an off front leg sprain.

TELESAT EMMA BRYANT CAIRNS CUP FINAL 544M

Even start.  BREMER was marginally slow to begin.  RHONDA’S DYNO and ASA EXTREME bumped shortly after the start resulting in RHONDA’S DYNO losing ground.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the front straight resulting in PEPPA PIG CLOUD becoming unbalanced and losing ground and PROSPECT and EMBELLISH being checked and losing considerable ground.  RHONDA’S DYNO raced wide on the turn out of the front straight.  BREMER, PROSPECT and EMBELLISH bumped heavily prior to turning into the back straight resulting in the three greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground causing interference to RHONDA’S DYNO.  RHONDA’S DYNO raced wide in the back straight.  PROSPECT raced wide into the home straight.

Even start.  TAKE THE NIGHT and VELOCITY LAVINIA bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  TAKE THE NIGHT checked off the heels of VELOCITY LAVINIA and lost considerable ground in the back straight.  JACK SPRITE and POPPA’S PICK bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

CAIRNS GREYHOUND RACING CLUB 5th GRADE 410M

RIP VAN WINKLE was the best to begin.  IT’S HIS JOB and MONOCHRONE were slow to begin.  VELOCITY AIM checked off RIP VAN WINKLE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  RIP VAN WINKLE and ATOMIC OPIE bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground.  MONOCHRONE raced wide into the home straight.
