CAIRNS MAIDEN 410M MAXIMUS HOUDINI was the best to begin. ELITE AND BLACK and OSPREY LIZ were slow to
begin. MY MATE FROSTY baulked and lost
ground abruptly prior to turning out of the back straight tailing off to
finish a distant last. A veterinary
inspection of the greyhound revealed an off front toe injury. Subsequently Stewards acting under the
provisions of 69B stood MY MATE FROSTY down from racing until the completion
of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue with injury. MAXIMUS HOUDINI raced wide into the front
straight. |

ZAMMATARO
PLUMBING 5th GRADE 410M Even start. RUBY’S MAGIC checked off the
heels of DIAMOND OLLIE and almost fell shortly after the start. STARZAR GOLD checked off CYCLONE ROSIE and
lost ground prior to turning into the back straight. DIAMOND OLLIE and HIGH CLASS MISS bumped on
the turn into the front straight resulting in DIAMOND OLLIE losing ground. |

SHANE MCKENZIE 5th GRADE 410M The
lure failed in the back straight resulting in a “NO RACE” being declared. On
inspection of the lure it was found that the lure cable had frayed causing
the cable to jam in the tension roller resulting in the tension frame being
torn from its mounts. Subsequently the
remainder of the meeting was abandoned. |
