1.

NQ SHEDS NOVICE 410M

SHARP INTENTION and MR. SURRENDER were best to begin with MIDNIGHT EDITION and I’M A GIFT slow.  Shortly after the start I’M A GIFT checked off heels.  In the 1st turn MR. SURRENDER tightened SHARP INTENTION and this greyhound lost ground.  Approaching the home straight CHIEF BOLT checked off heels and proceeded to race wide.

FRANSEN PLUMBING CAIRNS 5th GRADE 410M

VELOCITY AIM was best to begin with UNIVERSAL ONE, RAGG and STARZAR GOLD marginally slow.  Approaching the back straight STARZAR GOLD improved onto the heels of EASY OFF and both greyhounds were checked and lost ground.  BRIGHT REBEL was wide in the back straight.  Entering the home straight UNIVERSAL ONE and BRIGHT REBEL collided causing BRIGHT REBEL to lose ground.  In the home straight MONOCHRONE checked off heels.

BROTHERS LEAGUES CLUB 5th GRADE 410M

GLENALLON ZULU was best to begin while PRETTY ERIN was slow.  Shortly after the start GAR tightened PRETTY ERIN.  Entering the back straight GUNNADOO TWIST and MANHATTAN MAID were tightened.  GUNNADOO TWIST was wide through the top turn. Racing in the top turn PRETTY ERIN and GAR came together.

T &J S CLEANING 5th GRADE 410M

CYCLONE ROSIE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HIGH CLASS MISS checked off heels.  TAPATAK was wide in the back straight.  Entering the home straight CYCLONE ROSIE and SHE’S SO CLASSY collided which forced SHE’S SO CLASSY to shift out onto the running of SMILES ALOT and both greyhounds were inconvenienced.  Into the home straight SHE’S SO CLASSY continued to shift outwards forcing SMILES ALOT wide on the track.

CORAL COAST CATERING 4th GRADE 410M

WOOZIE DOOZIE was best to begin whilst ZIPPING BUBBA was slow.  In the 1st turn ZEPHYR ZEUS checked off heels and shifted outwards losing ground.  Shortly after, SPUDNUT was tightened and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn WOOZIE DOOZIE contacted the heels of HARA’S SIZZLE and lost ground.

 

The greyhound WOOZIE DOOZIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned on the greyhound’s recent poor form Mr. Davies explained that the greyhound had recently been spelled and that it was not yet back to its best. Mr. Davies undertook to inform stewards should any problems present with the greyhound in the coming days and stewards advised that the greyhound’s future performances will be closely monitored.

GEORGE TSAKISSIRIS BEST 8 410M

IT’S HIS JOB was slow to begin.  Approaching the back straight SHAKE YOUR BOOTY, WESTOVER and BANDALORE were all tight and unbalanced and lost ground as a result with SHAKE YOU BOOTY losing significant ground.
