1.

QUALITY TIMBERS MAREEBA 5th GRADE 410M

KARMA’S COMING was the best to begin.  PRETTY ERIN was slow to begin.  NO WORRIES BUDDY and LIL BIT ASESOME raced wide into the front straight.

2.

DOG MOVERS 5th GRADE 410M

SMILES ALOT was the best to begin.  AMARDA was slow to begin.  SMILES ALOT checked across the heels of POPPA’S PICK and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  ZIPPING BUBBA turned its head making muzzle contact with SMILES ALOT on several occasions prior to entering the front straight and in the front straight resulting in SMILES ALOT being forced to race wide and lose considerable ground.  Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69 stood ZIPPING BUBBA down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring. 2nd offence.

BLUEROO RACING SYND 5th GRADE 410M

Even start.  TOP TELLER and GAR bumped shortly after the start resulting in GAR losing some ground.

RQ MAIDEN 1000 FINAL 410M

Trainer R. Lound was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39.1 for presenting PASS THE AMMO to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently PASS THE AMMO was a late scratching form the race.

 

DISPLOSION was the best to begin.  SCOMELD was tightened for racing room and lost ground as the start was effected.  PARIS AUGOGO checked off the hind quarters of MISS TURKEY and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  SCOMELD checked off the heels of MISS TURKEY approaching the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  MISS TURKEY eased and stopped entering the front straight taking no further part in the race.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed soreness to both hind leg muscles.  Subsequently stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69B stood MISS TURKEY down from racing for 10 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue with injury.

BROTHERS LEAGUES CLUB CAIRNS 4th GRADE 410M

Even start with BIG BOY BATINA slow to begin.  CHIEF BOLT checked off MANHATTAN MAID and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  YOU CAN DO checked off HARA’S FLYER and lost ground entering the back straight.  CHIEF BOLT shifted out across the heels of HARA’S FLYER to race very wide into and down the front straight.  YOU CAN DO raced wide in the front straight.

TABLELAND FERTILIZERS 5th GRADE 544M

ATOMIC OPIE and SPUDNUT were the best to begin.  NOVA PARTY and IT’S HIS JOB were slow to begin.  TAPATAK and CHIEF JINX bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in TAPATAK becoming unbalanced and racing wide into the turn.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of CHIEF JINX in particular on the turn into the back straight.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed mild soreness to both hind leg muscles.  Subsequently stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69B stood CHIEF JINX down from racing for a period of 10 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue with injury.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of TAPATAK in the race in total.  After viewing the film and taking evidence from the trainer, Mr John La Rosa, TAPATAK was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial under the provisions of GAR 69A for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

BARON VALLEY HOTEL ATHERTON BEST 8 410M

BELLA MARLO was the best to begin.  SHAKE YOUR BOOTY was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to PA TING.  SHAKE YOUR BOOTY checked off PA TING and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
