Stewards Trial 1 – 410m The greyhound CHIEF
JINX performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 410m in a
time of 24.68 and is now cleared all tracks up to 410m only. The greyhound MISS
TURKEY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 410m in
a time of 24.63 and is now cleared all tracks. |

and BELLA SENORITA were best to begin. In the first turn BELLA SENORITA was
tightened. Entering the back straight BELLA SENORITA checked off heels and
lost ground. |

YOU RAY BALLARD 5th GRADE 410M TEST YOURSELF and ABSOLUTE SERIAL were best to begin. In
the first turn SWEET ROXETTE improved onto the heels of TEST YOURSELF and
both greyhounds were checked and lost ground. GLENALLON ZULU that was
following was hampered as a result. In the home straight SWEET ROXETTE marred
the running of DILSTON BRAE. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Lound that the greyhound
SWEET ROXETTE would be charged under Rule 69, Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 410m all tracks. |

POPPA’S PICK and SMILES ALOT were best to begin. In the first turn TOP TELLER
checked off heels and lost ground and BIG SAV that was following was
hampered. CHIEF BOLT raced wide throughout the event. |

THANK YOU BILL LOUIS 4th GRADE 410M HARA’S FLYER was best to begin. In the first turn ZIPPING
CARLTON and BIG BOY BATINA were hampered. BIG BOY BATINA was wide entering
the home straight. The greyhound BIG BOY BATINA underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

YOU MAL WOOLRIDGE 5th GRADE 544M NOVA PARTY and PRETTY ERIN began awkwardly and ceded
significant ground. The greyhound ATOMIC OPIE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered lacerations to the front limbs, and
was stood down for a period of 28 days. The greyhound PRETTY ERIN underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered a laceration to the near fore, and
was stood down for a period of 16 days. |

CRUSHED ICE underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, no apparent injuries
were found, and the greyhound was passed fit to start. CRUSHED ICE began well. PA TING suffered interference in the first
turn. |
