WEE WIN KENNELS MAIDEN/5th GRADE 410M

OILS AIN’T OILS was the best to begin.  MAGICAL DASH was slow to begin.  KARMA’S TIME checked off JOJURI and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  MAGICAL DASH tailed off and finished a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed no abnormalities.  Trainer Robert Lound was advised the performance of the greyhound was bordering on unsatisfactory.

LOUNDS SEAFOODS 5th GRADE 410M

Trainer Michael Davies was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 23.7 for the late scratching of OLD MATERIAL which the Stewards deemed as unacceptable.

 

TEMNICK was the best to begin.  NO WORRIES BUDDY was slow to begin.  SWEET ROXETTE checked across the hind quarters of SCOMELD on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.

CHASE MAGAZINE 5th GRADE 410M

Trainer Emma Bryant was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39.2 for presenting MAGIC THELMA to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  MAGIC THELMA was a late scratching from the race.

 

Even start with DASHING DIME and PASS THE AMMO slow to begin.  DASHING DIME checked off PASS THE AMMO and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight.  GIVEAWAY LASS checked off GO GWAN and lost ground entering the back straight.

CENTURY CRANES CAIRNS 4th GRADE 410M

ALL FUELED UP was the best to begin.  ALL FUELED up checked off the heels of KARMA’S COMING on the turn into the back straight resulting in ALL FUELED UP becoming unbalanced shifty out bumping HUCKABEE and falling causing interference to TRISHA NOLAN.  KORCHECK checked across the heels of KARMA’S COMING and lost some ground on the turn into the front straight.  KORCHECK and KARMA’S COMING bumped on several occasions entering the front straight.

5.

MONSOON LEATHER KURANDA 410M

Even start.  LIBERTY LEGS was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight.  BELLA MARLO checked off BRUTON MISS and lost ground entering the back straight.  PUT THONGS ON shifted out to race wide into the front straight forcing LIBERTY LEGS wide.

6.

FISHERY FALLS HOTEL 4/5th GRADE FINAL 410M

Even start with BIG SAV slow to begin.  General tightening occurred prior to turning into the back straight resulting in HARA’S FLYER losing ground back on to BIG SAV.  SMILES ALOT raced wide in the back straight.

7.

INTERSPORT CAIRNS CUP CONSOLATION 544M

MANHATTAN MAID was a late scratching due to an injury sustained on route to the track.  Even start with BROTHER ROB and INNOCENT MAN slow to begin.  PYRO BOB checked across the heels of SPUDNUT and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the front straight.  WHATTA PASS checked off the heels of INNOCENT MAN and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  THAT HOUDINI propped and failed to run on and failed to finish the race after turning out of the back straight.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed no abnormalities.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood THAT HOUDINI down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

BARRON VALLEY HOTEL CAIRNS FINAL 544M

FLAPPING GUMS was the best to begin.  ZIPPING OUTLAW checked off CHIEF JINX in the front straight on the first occasion bumping DIAMOND FIESTA resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  GOLDENPAW FLYER raced wide on the turn out of the front straight.  DIAMOND FIESTA raced wide and checked across the heels of GOLDENPAW FLYER on the turn out of the front straight.

9.

ALL WHEEL DRIVE ATHERTON 5th GRADE 410M

Even start.  VELOCITY AIM was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight. 

TOP TELLER checked off MAURY SPIRIT and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.

 

MAURY SPIRIT and VELOCITY AIM bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MAURY SPIRIT losing ground.
