The heat policy of invoked with the following measures taken:

no greyhounds being previewed
all greyhounds were identified inside the kennel block
ice water wash downs were provided post race
greyhounds were kennelled immediately after their races

The maximum temperature on track was 34 degrees.

MAIDEN 366M

WEE REMI, HEARTLAND FLASH and SAMURAI PIZZACAT were best to begin. NAUGHTY THEO was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start WEE REMI and HEARTLAND FLASH collided causing WEE REMI to lose ground. Approaching the 200m mark NAUGHTY THEO ran to the inside of the track. At the 200m mark WEE REMI and KURO GUN collided causing KURO GUN to lose ground. After the 200m mark WEE REMI, SHAASANA and KURO GUN all collided resulting in SHAVASANA losing ground.

The greyhound NAUGHTY THEO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound WEE REMI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near fore pad and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Even start. Shortly after the start GIFTED PINES crossed to the inside of the track which collided with FANCY FREEL and TOOKA RUNA resulting in TOOKA RUNA to lose ground. Approaching the 200m mark SUSHI COWBOY and PHONICS ran to the outside of the track colliding resulting in PHONICS to lose ground.

3.	NOVICE 366M BATTLE READY was best to begin. DYNAMO BLUE and TINY TIARA were marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start GOLD RAINS and FERNLEE STAR collided causing GOLD RAINS to lose ground. Approaching the 200m mark TOOKA TRIP ran to the inside. At the 200m mark DYNAMO BLUE and BATTLE READY collided resulting in BATTLE READY to falter. Approaching the 100m mark TOOKA TRIP and GOLD RAINS were bumping resulting in TOOKA TRIP to lose ground. After the 100m mark DEREK ran to the inside and FERNLEE STAR running to the outside of the track.

4.	5^th GRADE 366M Even start with MADAM’S FLASH’S was slow to begin. Shortly after the start RUN RIVA RUN and CLASSY BARCY collided resulting in RUN RIVA RUN to lose ground. At the 200m mark CLASSY BARCY and DRAGON DANCER collided resulting in DRAGON DANCER to lose ground. Approaching the 100m mark RUN RIVA RUN and NOSMO KING tailed off and took no further competitive part in the event. The greyhound NOSMO KING underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. The greyhound RUN RIVA RUN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

5^th GRADE 366M

Evens tart with TWISTED marginally slow to begin. Shortly after TWISTED shifted to the inside of the track. At the 200m mark MISS PEREGIAN and MAGIC SENORITA collided resulting in MAGIC SENORITA to lose ground.

5^th GRADE 366M

Even start. Shortly after the start MADAM LOOPSY and MILKY CHANCE collided resulting in MILKY CHANCE to lose ground. Approaching the 200m mark BRAVE ULYSSES and HALF MINE collided resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. At the 200m mark TOO MANY BILLS and ROCKABILLY OSTI ran to the outside of the track.

Trainer Mr. G Mellen phoned to advise the greyhound BRAVE ULYSSES was found to be injured after the race meeting with an off side wrist injury.

7.	5^th GRADE FINAL 366M Even start. Shortly after the start BIG TRIGGER, CARBROOK LAD and TREBLIG LUCIA collided resulting in TREBLIG LUCIA losing ground and running to the outside. Approaching the 200m mark EL’S ON SHOW ran to the inside of the track. At the 200m mark GALA SHOW ran to the outside of the track. Approaching the 100m mark I’M A HOTSHOT and LATE SHOW SNOWY collided resulting in LATE SHOW SNOWY to lose ground.

8.	4/5^th GRADE 366M Even start. Shortly after the start ELEGANT STRIDE and CIGARS ON ICE collided resulting in CIGARS ON ICE losing ground. Approaching the 200m mark IONA MACHINE ran to the inside of the track. At the 200m mark SHUNT MAN and KNOCKA’S ASSET collided resulting in KNOCKA’S ASSET to lose ground and took no further competitive part in the event. After the 200m mark CIGARS ON ICE ran to the outside. The greyhound KNOCKA’S ASSET underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
