RACE REPORTS

 

1.

TRISH CAREY – AMAZING MUM MAIDEN 366M

GOOD GOLLY OLLY shifted in sharply immediately after the start and collided with RINGBARK LANA and STICKY STICKA causing all greyhounds to lose ground.  Shortly after GOOD GOLLY OLLY continued to shift in colliding with FAB JESSIE, SUPER CETTE was hampered as a result.  At the 200m GOOD GOLLY OLLY once again shifted in and bumped with FAB JESSIE and SUPER CETTE then stumbled losing ground as a consequence.

NOVICE 366M

TSAR BOMBER and GIRL OVERBOARD were best to begin.  FONIC THUNDER and SLICK SHANNON collided and lost ground immediately after the start.  SPORTS WRITER and CLAMPET DRYVA raced tight and bumped approaching the 200m.  SPORTS WRITER shifted to the inside immediately after the contact.  Shortly after SLICK SHANNON shifted inwards and collided with FONIC THUNDER and then onto SPORTS WRITER.  SENTRY’S CALL was impeded as a result.  CLAMPET DRYVA shifted in and momentarily impeded SLICK SHANNON just prior to the finish.

 

The greyhound SLICK SHANNON underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SENTRY’S CALL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 8 weeks.

5th GRADE HEAT 1 366M

LUCITA was best to begin.  TORNEY shifted in and bumped with NOSMO KING immediately after the start.  LUCITA shifted in and bumped TORNEY just prior to the finish.

5th GRADE HEAT 2 366M

TOOKA TRIP was best to begin.  GREAT LANE was slow.  Approaching the 200m READY CETTE shifted in and hampered FRIENDZ who then checked off the heels of READY CETTE.  At the 200m SUDOKU DOLL shifted in and impeded REBEL KENNELLY who shifted to the outside immediately after.

 

The greyhound GREAT LANE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. W Wilson over the performance of the greyhound in regards to market expectations. As the greyhound was found not to be injured it was decided it would be post race swabbed.

KEN SMITH MEMORIAL FINAL 366M

REDNECK BANJO was best to begin.  NOTORIOUS HERO was marginally slow.  Approaching the 200m BRAVE ULYSSES shifted in and bumped RUNYA DOWN.  RUNYA DOWN and BRAVE ULYSSSES continued to race tight and bump on a number of occasions until after the 200m.  Just after the 200m RISING SON was momentarily impeded as IT’S DYLLAN shifted inwards.

I’M A HOTSHOT was best to begin.  VALKYRIE BLUE shifted inwards sharply then outwards approaching the 200m.
