Other Comments / Explanations: Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races
Race 1 - BOB VERNON MEMORIAL HEAT 1 MAIDEN 366m 2 Alpha Mania – shifted out shortly after the start. 3 Columbian King - shifted out shortly after the start. 8 Buzzer Beater – shifted in near the 200m. Trainer T Brett was advised of concerns the Stewards had over the Greyhounds actions over the concluding stages, however after considering all available evidence the Greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.
Race 2 – BOB VERNON MEMORIAL HEAT 2 MAIDEN 366m 1 Never Sweeter –collided with another runner and checked near the 200m. 4 Silent Torpedo – shifted out near the 150m 5 Richo – checked shortly after the start. Collided with another runner and checked near the 200m. 7 Jaydo's Jet – checked near the 150m.
Race 3 – BOB VERNON MEMORIAL HEAT 3 MAIDEN 366m 1 Spritely Maiden – shifted out shortly after the start. Checked near the 200m. 2 Opal Prince – collided with another runner approaching the 300m. Shifted out near the 100m. 3 Alpha Calypso - collided with another runner approaching the 300m 4 Huckles – collided with another runner near the 50m. 5 Big Jett - collided with another runner near the 50m. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its off hip and was stood down from racing for 10 days
Race 4 – BOB VERNON MEMORIAL HEAT 4 MAIDEN 366 3 Riley's Reason – collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 4 Dynamic Des - collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 6 Rio Valiente - collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Checked near the 200m.
Race 5 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 366m 1 Skilled – bumped another runner shortly after the start. 2 Spirit River - bumped another runner shortly after the start. Shifted out from the 300m. 4 Minnie Jojo – hampered near the 200m. 7 Recreational – shifted in shortly after the start.
Race 6 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 366m 1 Dolly's Wally – shifted out shortly after the start. 4 Hara's Clyde – bumped another runner shortly after the start. Checked near the 300m. Checked near the 250m. 6 Dark Zorro – bumped another runner shortly after the start. 7 Mungo Barry – checked near the 250m.
Race 7 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 3 OPEN 366m 1 Talgai Warrior -– shifted out shortly after the start. 5 Stinger Noir – slow to begin. 8 Aston Poker – shifted in near the 200m. Race 8 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 4 OPEN 366m 1 Naturally Gifted – checked near the 250m. 2 Agent Laylan – checked near the 250m. . Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its off hind back muscle and was stood down from racing for 28 days and Veterinarian Certificate of soundness before returning to racing. 3 Only Nineteen – checked near the 250m. 4 Got It Mum -– shifted out shortly after the start. 7 Double Sting – checked near the 250m. 8 Maywyn Cash – checked shortly after the start.
Race 9 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 5 OPEN 366m 2 Logo – checked shortly after the start. 4 Shakey Diesel – checked near the 50m. 5 I'm Demanding – bumped another runner shortly after the start. 6 Blue Diva – bumped another runner shortly after the start.
Race 10 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) HEAT 6 OPEN 366m 3 Techno Hornet – checked near 200m.
Race 11 – WAYNE HARRIS GRADE 5 (1) 366m The race was declared a “no race” as a result of the lure malfunctioning part way through the race. Race 12 – KEYBOW GRADE 5 (2) 366m 3 Run Blake Run - Underwent a
post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its off
fore foot and was stood down from racing for 10 days.
