Other Comments / Explanations: Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races
Race 1 - WWW.CAPALABAGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN 366m 1 Aletheia- Quick to begin. 3 Coast Guard- Marginally slow to begin. Inconvenienced at approx. the 200m. 4 Riley's Reason- Shifted in to avoid heels and was inconvenienced at approx. 150m. 8 Alpha Mania- Quick to begin.
Race 2 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MDNPW 366m 3 Night Chaser- Collided with another runner immediately after the start and was checked. Was inconvenienced at approx. the 100m by another runner. Bumped with another runner nearing the finish line. 4 One Hattie- Tightened for room immediately after the start and was checked. Shifted inwards to the rail at approx. the 100m. Bumped with another runner nearing the finish line. 5 Silent Torpedo- Shifted in at the start, colliding with another runner. 7 Richo- Shifted to the rail at approx. the 200m.
Race 3 – KEYBOW @ STUD NOVICE (1) 366m 2 Stoney Typhoon- Shifted out at approx. the 200m, collided with another runner and was checked. 4 Cyber Storm- Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Collided with another runner at approx. the 200m and was checked. 8 He's Scandalous- Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Collided with another runner at approx. the 200m and was checked.
Race 4 – WAYNE HARRIS NOVICE (2) 366m 2 Miss Leonardo- Progressively shifted outwards to race wider on the track approaching the 200m. 3 Slade- Slow to begin. 4 Forever Diamonds- Bumped by another runner at approx. the 100m. 5 Rockstar Bam Bam- Quick to begin. 8 Roman Rebound- Shifted in, bumping with another runner at approx. the 100m.
Race 5 – BOB VERNON MEMORIAL FINAL MAIDEN 366m 4 Kamarooka- Collided with another runner at approx. the 100m and was checked. 5 Columbian King- Collided with another runner at approx. the 200m and was checked. 6 Tough As Teak- Slipped immediately after the start. Inconvenienced approaching the 200m, Shifted inwards in an attempt to gain clear running, collided with another runner and was checked. 8 Touche Away- Collided with another runner at approx. the 100m and was checked. Shifted its running line on a number of occasions over the concluding stages to avoid the heels of the leading runner.
Race 6 – CLIFF HOUSTON MIXED 3/4 366m 2 Only Nineteen- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. Collided with another runner at approx. the 150m and was checked. 3 My Girl Gracey- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. Collided with another runner at approx. the 150m and was checked. 4 Silent Talk- Tightened for room after the start and was checked. 5 Ocean Master- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. Collided with another runner at approx. the 150m and was checked. Checked again nearing the 100m
Race 7 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) FINAL OPEN 366m 1 Made In America- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. 2 Quick Storm- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. 6 Never Walk Alone- Quick to begin. 7 Stinger Noir- Slow to begin. 8 Edelman- Quick to begin. Shifted inwards toward the rail at approx. the 150m.
Race 8 – CON SCIACCA CAPALABA CUP (L) CONSOLATION OPEN 366m 1 Seratus- Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions over the concluding stages of the event. 2 Nandruku- Collided with another runner immediately after the start and was checked. Bumped with another runner at approx. the 100m. 3 Are Jay Junior- Tightened for room immediately after the start and was checked. 4 We Get It- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked. 5 Aston Poker- Began awkwardly. Tightened for room immediately after the start and was checked. Shifted to the rail at approx. the 200m. 8 Logo- Bumped with another runner at approx. the 100m. Collided with another runner over the concluding stages and was checked.
Race 9 – ARTHUR VERNON MA5 366m 3 Sulza Boy- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Collided with another runner at approx. the 200m and was checked. Bumped with another runner at approx. the 100m. 4 Yachtie- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Shifted inwards to the rail approaching the 200m. 5 Too Many Bills- Quick to begin. 6 Are Jay Smiley- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 7 Hi Que- Collided with another runner at approx. the 200m and was checked. Bumped with another runner at approx. the 100m. 8 Our Deliverance- Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. 9 (Box 2) Eye Hate Cake- Quick to begin. Shifted outwards abruptly immediately after the start, colliding with another runner and was checked.
Race 10 – WYNNUM HAULAGE GRADE 5 (1) 366m 1 Galway General- Slow to begin. 6 Got It Mum- Quick to begin. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs D Buxton regarding Got It Mum’s performance in comparison to its most recent form. Mrs Buxton stated that Got It Mum prefers an outside draw and has been drawn of recent in inside boxes which has had a negative bearing on her performance, often colliding with other runners when shifting wider. Mrs Buxton was confident in Got It Mum’s winning chances in today’s event.
Race 11 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNITA MCSHERRY GRADE 5 (2) 366m 1 Wildash Georgia- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 2 Cunnamulla Fella- Tightened for room immediately after the start and was checked. 3 Bronze Horseman- Shifted out at approx. the 250m, collided with another runner and was severely checked causing Bronze Horseman to fall. Trailed the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Cassidy inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Bronze Horseman come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 4 High Order- Inconvenienced approaching the 200m. 6 Eight Green Cans- Began awkwardly after slipping at the start. 7 Fedor- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 8 Brooklyn Miss- Shifted inwards at approx. the 250m, collided with another runner and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Hutchinson inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Brooklyn Miss come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable.
Race 12 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY GRADE 5 (3) 366m 2 Spasmodic Star- Shifted out over the concluding stages of the event. 5 Franz Propp- Slow to begin. 8 No Respect- Shifted inwards to the centre of the track at approx. the 100m.
