General:

Following a report from QRIC IIT conducting routine kennel inspections on the 4/9/21, it was established that the greyhound No Go, trained by Barry Kitchener, that was entered to complete in race 3, at Capalaba today, was domiciled incorrectly at David Kitchener’s kennels.  An inquiry was opened in which Mr Barry Kitchener advised Stewards that he transferred the greyhound to his Uncles kennels on Wednesday and had failed to lodge the relevant paperwork with the licencing and registration department.  Mr Barry Kitchener pleaded guilty to a breach under GAR 105(3) which states - A trainer shall not train any greyhound unless the trainer has notified the controlling body in the manner prescribed that the greyhound is kept at the registered address of the trainer. 

Mr Barry Kitchener was fined the sum of $500.  In assessing penalty stewards took into consideration his guilty plea, forthright evidence, and his personal circumstances.  Mr Barry Kitchener was advised of his right of appeal.  The greyhound No Go was stood down for 10 days for the relevant paperwork to be submitted.

Race 1 - WAYNE HARRIS MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 366m

1 Trigger Warning – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. A second post-race veterinary revealed no apparent injury. Greyhound was charged under R71 Unsatisfactory performance requiring one steward’s trial to be completed before returning to race.

2 Crispy Toast – Checked approaching the 200m.

3 Tia Tornado – Slow to begin. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. A secondary veterinary examination and found no apparent injury. Greyhound was charged under R71 Unsatisfactory performance requiring one steward’s trial to be completed before returning to racing.

7 Bob Albury - Slipped coming out of the boxes. Bumped shortly after the start. Shifted in and checked another runner. Shifted in and clipped heels approaching 100m

8 Sweet Gig – Bumped shortly after the start. Shifted in and checked another runner approaching the 200m.

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 366m

2 Beers And Tears – Shifted out at the 200m. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. A secondary post-race veterinary examination was made and was found to have a nearside wrist injury and stood down for 10 days.

3 Zoom Zoom Zoe – Shifted out approaching the 200m. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards question trainer C.Williams in regards to the greyhound performance and stated that the greyhound is suited to an outside box and is expecting an improved performance when racing on the circle.

5 Which Witch – Bumped shortly after the start.

6 Bad Boy Burn – Bumped shortly after the start.

7 Remembering – Bumped shortly after the start.

8 Looks Easy – Bumped shortly after the start.

Race 3 - DR JOHN MURRAY MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 366m

4 Saloso – Bumped shortly after the start. Bumped on numerous occasions approaching the 100m. Eased approaching the finishing line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Charged under R69A Failing to Pursue, 28 days at Capalaba and 1 steward’s trial.

5 Assassin -Bumped shortly after the start. Shifted in at the 200m. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the offside wrist and stood down for 10 days.

6 Billy Nailer – Bumped on numerous occasions approaching the 100m.

7 Mister Tyrell – Bumped shortly after the start. Clipped heels and shifted in at the 100m.

Race 4 - KEYBOW @ STUD NOVICE (1) 366m

1 Maggie's Return – Bumped and shifted out at the 100m.

4 Master Act – Shifted out shortly after the start. Bumped at the 100m. Bumped on numerous occasions leaving the 100m.

5 Point To Point – Bumped shortly after the start.

6 Fabulous Maiden – Bumped approaching the 100m. Bumped on numerous occasions leaving the 100m.

7 Calypso Crown – Bumped shortly after the start. Checked at the 200m.

8 Samona – Shifted in and checked at the 200m.

1 Glittering Magic – Checked at the 200m.Checked at the 100m.

2 Patchwork Nate – Bumped shortly after the start. Checked approaching the 200m.

Race 6 - BERYL GREEN APPRECIATION GRADE 5 366m

4 Dream Chaser – Checked shortly after the start. Clipped heels leaving the 200m.

5 Team Austria – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was declared fit to race. Shifted in and checked another runner shortly after the start.

6 Lovely Sox – Shifted in approaching the 200m.

7 Expat Hurricane – Shifted in approaching the 200m.

8 Just Law – Shifted in approaching the 200m.

Race 7 - TVATI CAPALABA YOUNG GUNS HEAT 1 OPEN 366m

2 Celeana – Shifted out shortly after the start. Bumped leaving the 200m.

4 Red Burner – Began awkwardly. Shifted out shortly after the start.
