Stewards spoke to Trainer S Johnson regarding the greyhounds’ actions at a point near the 250m. After reviewing the video replay, considering the submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that Aperture had turned its head inwards towards Cheeky Chaser taking its attention away from the lure, therefore invoked GAR 69A Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Aperture was suspended from racing at Capalaba for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
