Race 1 - DON & DENISE MAIDEN 366m

 

1 Sassy Sniper – Checked leaving the 100m.

 

2 Jackson's Miss – Bumped shortly after the start.

 

4 Silky Ripple – Slow to begin. Shifted out leaving the 200m.

 

7 Minter Image – Began awkwardly. Checked across heels leaving the 100m.

 

 

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN 366m

 

1 Black Monaro – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Turned its head outwards towards another runner over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side pin, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J Catton regarding the greyhounds racing manners over the concluding stages. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), Black Monaro was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. The greyhound will be required to complete a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

2 Uncle Charlie – Bumped approaching the 200m. Shifted out leaving the 200m.

 

3 Kick Son – Checked and then shifted in bumping with another runner shortly after the start.

 

4 Rubeson – Checked shortly after the start.

 

5 Vecna – Checked shortly after the start.

 

6 Ringo Roller – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

7 Tiny Encounter – Severely checked shortly after the start.

 

8 Wronged – Shifted in and bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Shifted in approaching the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mrs T Nicholls regarding the racing manners of the greyhound after the start. After hearing evidence from Mrs Nicholls, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards could not be satisfied the greyhound had contravened any rule and therefore took no further action

6 What A Nose – Shifted out shortly after the start.

2 Boom One Down – Shifted out shortly after the start. Checked at the 300m.

 

3 Polly's Riff – Checked shortly after the start. Checked at the 300m. Bumped with another runner on multiple occasions approaching the 200m.

 

4 Black Watch – Checked shortly after the start.

 

6 Maddy's Girl – Checked approaching the 100m.

 

7 Hostile Assassin – Shifted in after the start. Bumped with another runner on multiple occasions approaching the 200m.

 

8 Villante – Checked off heels over the concluding stages.

5 Queen Missile – Began awkwardly.

 

6 Canya Bellatrix – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start and again approaching the 200m.

 

7 Yazoo – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start and again approaching the 200m. Checked off heels approaching the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance of the greyhound trainer Mr W Thomson advised he was disappointed in the greyhound’s performance however stated the greyhound did not begin as well in today’s event and had suffered racing interference. Stewards noted the explanation.

 

 

Race 11 - WYNNUM HAULAGE GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

1 She's A Sully – Shifted out approaching the 100m.

 

2 Giddey Keats – Checked shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

4 Austrian Beauty – Bumped shortly after the start.

 

5 Lottery Ticket – Slow to begin. Bumped after the start. Commenced to give ground approaching the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side pin and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

 

6 Floral Marg – Checked shortly after the start.
