RACE 2 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC MAIDEN 366M |
|
1 Alpha Raphel – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near side hip and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days. Stewards had concerns with the greyhounds racing actions at the 150 metre mark, with trainer representative Penny Rigg reporting that the greyhound was a first starter and had sustained an injury during the event. Stewards accepted that the greyhound’s actions may have been impacted by its injury and took no further action in respect of the matter. |

4 Myka – Shifted out and checked off heels at the 250 metre mark. Checked off heels at the 100 metre mark. |

7 Curious Caza – Dragged down at the 250 metre mark. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. |

5 Summer Holiday – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room and was severely checked at the 200 metre mark. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side wrist and was stood down from racing for ten (10) days. |

6 Aerobic System – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an abrasion to its near side fore limb. |
|
7 Betty Jo – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side pin and off side hip and was stood down from racing for 14 days. |

8 Frostbite Hux – Slipped its collar in the parade area pre-race. Stewards reminded trainer David Bailey of his obligations to ensure the greyhound’s collar is sufficiently tightened to secure the greyhound pre-race. Checked at the 200 metre mark. |

|
3 Ando's A Thief – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner at the 300 metre mark. Shifted in and turned its head to the inside making muzzle contact with another runner at the 50 metre mark. Stewards spoke with trainer Gregory Stella regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight and, after hearing his evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of marring pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123 and, as this was the greyhound’s 3rd offence for the purpose of Greyhounds Australasia Rule 127, Ando’s A Thief was suspended from racing for three (3) months at all tracks and must perform two (2) satisfactory trials prior to racing next. |

4 Miss Mel – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near side and off side calf muscle and was stood down from racing for fourteen (14) days. |

5 Cashmere Kaos – Bumped with another runner at the 300 metre mark. |
|
7 Deep Sapphire – Tightened for racing room at the 300 metre mark. |
|
8 She's A Sully – Slipped its collar in the parade area pre-race. Stewards reminded trainer Barry Jones of his obligations to ensure the greyhound’s collar is sufficiently tightened to secure the greyhound pre-race. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked off heels at the 100 metre mark. Marred by another runner at the 50 metre mark. |

2 Mayfair Fantasy – Trainer Chad Bridge was reprimanded pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 97(1) for failing to retrieve the greyhound Mayfair Fantasy from its allotted kennel at the time appointed for the greyhound to be retrieved. Bumped with another runner at the 50 metre mark. |

7 Me And You – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages of the event. |

9 Miss Sassy – Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages of the event. |
