General: Meeting was abandoned after the running of race 4 due to a power outage on course that could not be resolved.

Race 1 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MDNPW 366m

 

1 Lorna's Creek – Shifted out and bumped with another runner approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Kevin Kemp in regard to the greyhounds racing manner approaching the winning post. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

2 Lorna's Law – Slow to begin.

 

3 Tuta Grizzly – Checked soon after the start.

 

4 Whispering Ella – Bumped with another runner approaching the winning post.

 

6 Lorna's Flying – Checked passing the 250m.

 

7 Zipping Burger – Slow to begin, checked soon after the start, checked passing the 250m.

 

 

Race 2 - HAPPY 55TH BIRTHDAY JACQUI CURRIE MAIDEN 366m

 

1 Alpha Cyprus – Bumped passing the 100m, checked then collided with another runner passing the 50m.

 

2 Jackson's Miss – Checked soon after the start, collided with another runner passing the 50m.

 

3 Spin Master – Checked soon after the start, checked passing the 200m.

 

4 Currie Young Boy – Checked soon after the start.

 

5 Stomp – Checked soon after the start, checked passing the 200m.

 

6 On Stilts – Checked soon after the start, checked passing the 200m.

 

7 Ringo Roller – Checked soon after the start, checked passing the 200m, turned its head outward making contact with another runner on several occasions approaching the winning post. Steward’s spoke to trainer Craig Chandler regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Capalaba and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

8 Myka – Bumped passing the 100m, marred by another runner approaching the winning post.

 

 

Race 3 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 366m

 

1 Murgon Bow – Checked across heels then shifted out abruptly approaching the 200m.

 

3 Wine Drinker Me – Bumped soon after the start, checked passing the 300m, checked passing the 200m.

 

4 Luckie's Lass – Bumped soon after the start, checked passing the 300m, checked passing the 200m, checked passing the 100m.

 

5 Fade – Bumped soon after the start, checked passing the 300m, checked passing the 200m, checked passing the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Loose Penny – Checked passing the 250m, checked passing the 200m, bumped approaching the winning post.

 

7 Burnt Jam – Checked passing the 250m, checked across heels then shifted in abruptly passing the 200m, shifted out and bumped with another runner approaching the winning post.

 

8 Golden Penny – Severely checked passing the 300m.

 

 

Race 4 - WAYNE HARRIS SPRINT NOVICE (1) 366m

 

All clear was delayed to afford Stewards the opportunity to view the race footage concerning the lure throughout the event. After viewing the video replay Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhound was disadvantaged by the position of the lure during the event, therefore all clear was given on the judge’s numbers.

 

1 King Wylde – Gave ground passing the 100m and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a stomach muscle injury the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

 

2 Gary Said – Checked soon after the start, checked approaching the 200m, bumped with another runner on several occasions between the 200m – 100m, checked passing the 100m.

 

3 Sid's Mate – Checked soon after the start, checked approaching the 200m.

 

4 Starlight Blaze – Checked soon after the start.

 

5 Right Angle – Checked soon after the start, bumped with another runner on several occasions between the 200m – 100m, checked passing the 100m.

 

6 Alpha Yoong – Checked soon after the start.

 

7 Painted Infrared – Checked soon after the start, checked approaching the 200m.

 

8 Up The Amps – Checked soon after the start.
