Race 3 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT NOVICE 366m

 

Need A Lawyer (9) - Late scratching at 10:41am due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer Will Warner was fine $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

 

Ripper Roo (7) – Approaching the winning post was dragged down and checked. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 4 - THE STACEY DANIELS MEMORIAL VASE GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

Kaypat Tenacity (10) – Approaching the 200 metres lost ground appearing injured. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed an offside back muscle injury and was stood down from racing for 21 days.

 

Race 5 - JONELLE MARGUERITE WE LOVE YOU MIXED 4/5 366m

 

Mercury (1) - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer Chris Brydon that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

Race 6 - CYBIL MEMORIAL CUP MIXED 3/4 366m

 

Super Shanks (2) – (Beaten Favorite) Marginally slow to begin. Approaching the 100 metres was checked and turned sideways. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 7 - GIRLS DAY OUT MIXED 2/3 366m

Impetuous Lad (3) - Late scratching at 10:41am due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer Peter Carleton was fine $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

 

Lads On Fire (6) – Stumbled when leaving the boxes. Stewards noted the greyhound raced with no muzzle for much of the event.
