8 Hot Barrels Commenced to give ground shortly after the start. Failed to finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Gerry Crisci, the trainer of Hot Barrels regarding the greyhound’s racing manners shortly after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Hot Barrels was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Capalaba and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
