9. Looks Good – Near the finish put looked awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

6. She’s On Time – Near the finish was checked and galloped on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 5 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE MEDCALF MIXED 4/5 366m

 

5. Vindicated – At approximately the 150m appeared to shorten in stride, a post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound sustained a back strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

5. Tweed Force – Bumped on jumping and carried outwards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 9 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

8. Who’s Your Papi - Late scratching at 10:57am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 77). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 10 - SENTENCED AT STUD GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

4. Jax Star – Trailed the field throughout, over the concluding stages looked awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside wrist and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

8. Mysterious Babe – Near the finished eased. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative W Reynolds regarding the greyhound’s actions for that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Reynolds, stewards deemed Mysterious Babe did visible ease therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Mysterious Babe was suspended from racing at Capalaba for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.
