General: Handler Matthew Hamilton pleaded guilty to charge under GAR156(f)(ii) negligence in that he incorrectly fitted the wrong rug to Whispers prior to the running of race 6. Mr Hamilton was fined $100.00.

Race 2 - WYNNUM HAULAGE MAIDEN (2) 366m

2 Rapid Popeye - Late scratching at 10.10am due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer Peter Arnerich was fine $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

7 Flash Card – Gave ground over the final 200m and trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Karl Buhner stated that it was the greyhounds first time racing on a straight track, and he intends to trial the greyhound at Capalaba prior to racing here next. Stewards noted his submissions.

6 Indiana Wind – Beaten favourite, checked soon after the start. A post-race urine sample was obtained.

Race 7 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS MIXED 3/4 366m

3 Our Bush Boy - Late scratching at 10.10am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have a mouth injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

7 Maywyn Idris – Checked approaching the 200m, became unbalanced approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 8 - MELBOURNE CUP DAY @ CAPALABA GREYS MIXED 4/5 366m

7 Stolen Rolex – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind leg injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 9 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC GRADE 5 (1) 366m

Race 10 - SENTENCED AT STUD GRADE 5 (2) 366m

2 Master Barcia – Checked passing the 300m, faulted in its actions passing the 200m then gave ground and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

6 Lenardo’s Dream – Beaten favourite. Slow to begin, bumped soon after the start, checked passing the 300m, checked passing the 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

6 Just Like Mick – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a laceration to the near side front foot, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

8 She’s In Clover – Performed below market expectations. Stumbled leaving the boxes, shifted in and gave ground passing the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
