Race 1 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN 366m

 

5 Tommy Trumpet- Checked and commenced to weaken approaching the 100m mark. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 10 days.  

 

6 Cookie Express- Weakened late in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings.  

 

 

Race 2 - WYNNUM HAULAGE NPW 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 3 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

Due to an equipment malfunction there is no head on camera angle for this race.

 

Race 4 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC MIXED 3/4 366m

 

1 Hudson Bay- Beaten favourite. Checked on multiple occasions throughout the event when attempting to get to the outside of the track. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any significant findings.

 

Race 5 - QGOLD HEAT 1 OPEN 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 6 - QGOLD HEAT 2 OPEN 366m

 

7 Big Apatite- Commenced to weaken shortly after the start and tailed the field. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin and was stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial before future nominations are accepted.  

 

Race 7 - QGOLD HEAT 1 OPEN 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 8 - QGOLD HEAT 2 OPEN 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 9 - QGOLD HEAT 3 OPEN 366m

 

1 Hot Tyson- Commenced to weaken from the 100m mark. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Peter O’Reilly regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr O’Reilly, stewards deemed Hot Tyson had eased and therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Hot Tyson was suspended from racing at Capalaba for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

Race 10 - SENTENCED AT STUD GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 11 - WWW.ONTHECLOCK.COM.AU GRADE 5 (3) 366m

 

2 Dashing Dipper- Commenced to weaken from 200m mark. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a back strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

Race 12 – TAB MA5 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.
