Race 1 - DON AND DENISE MAIDEN 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN 366m

 

4 Western Hawk – Checked off heels and made contact with the rail passing the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

5 Kiku – Severely checked passing the 200m, then eased taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Neville Tonks regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Capalaba and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

7 Tough Cutter – Severely checked passing the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have heat stress under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 3 - WYNNUM HAULAGE NPW 366m

 

1 Gail Unleashed - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainers representative that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

4 Peppa Peppa – Severely checked soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 4 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC NOVICE 366m

 

4 Blue Rambler - Severely checked and fell soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 5 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 6 - LEEROY ROGUE GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 7 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

4 Samson Power – Severely checked and fell passing the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side foreleg injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

5 Dino Way – Performed below market expectations. Checked soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Michael Lilicz stated that the greyhound is better suited to a circle track, but he was unable to find a suitable race for the greyhound on a circle track this week. He further stated that after not beginning well and receiving early interference he was not disappointed with the greyhounds run. Stewards noted the submissions.

 

 

Race 8 -SENTENCED AT STUD MIXED 4/5 366m

Race 9 - WWW.ONTHECLOCK.COM.AU GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

3 Hawk’s Responder - Late scratching at 10.25am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have a near side hind leg injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

4 Orson Black - Late scratching at 10.25am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to a hind leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a Veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

 

 

Race 10 - TAB MA5 366m

 

7 Boxing On – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed split webbing to the near side front foot under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
