6 Blue Apatite- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jason Aylward regarding the greyhound actions in the later stages of the event when attempting to cross to the rail and making contact with Bar Cool Rocks. Mr Aylward stated that it is the greyhounds usual racing pattern when drawn wide to cross towards the rail late in the race and this is evidenced in race replays. Stewards considered the matter and determined that when attempting to cross, Blue Apatite braces for contact with Bar Cool Rocks racing to its inside, however, Stewards are not satisficed that Blue Apatite has breached any rule of racing and no further action was taken. |
