Stewarded inquired into the circumstances of Trainer Mr Mark Small presenting Carramar Drive late on course. After considering the evidence put forward by Mr Small, no further action was taken.

Race 1 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN 366m

 

3 Done Your Dash- Late scratching at 9.30am due to weight variation (GAR 101(1). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, B Wellington was fined $100 acting under GAR 101(3)(b)

 

Race 2 - WYNNUM HAULAGE MAIDEN 366m

 

3 Panama Anna- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle and was stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 3 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION MA5 366m

 

1 Carramar Drive- Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was past fit to race. Beaten favourite ($1.15). On course veterinarian noted signs of mild respiratory distress post-race, indicating a hard run, however no stand down period was imposed. A post-race sample was collected for analysis.

 

Race 4 - SWOOSH FINANCE NOVICE (1) 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 5 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC NOVICE (2) 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 6 – TAB GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

3 Jack’s Arrow- Severely checked leaving the 200m mark causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

4 Mclintock- Severely checked leaving the 200m mark causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 7 - COM AV COMMUNICATIONS AUDIO VISUAL INSTALLATIONS GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 8 - GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MIXED 4/5 366m

 

1 Bar Cool Rocks- Commenced to weaken approaching the 200m mark and tailed the field for remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Stewards ordered that Bar Cool Rocks must complete a satisfactory trial before returning to racing.
