8 Comet Meteor – Checked approaching the 200m then gave ground and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed near side hip injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

8 Mega Man – Turned its head inwards taking its attention away from the lure approaching the 50m then collided with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Kevin Forrester regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 7 days stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
