7 Howdy Cyndie – Fell in catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

Race 3 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION NOVICE (1) 366m

 

2 Tough Cutter – Late scratching at 10:35am pursuant to GAR 92(2) due to an injury to the offside foreleg. the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 4 - TAB TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC NOVICE (2) 366m

 

8 Wallaby Job – Shortly after the finish line appeared awkward in his action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

Race 5 - SWOOSH FINANCE GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

6 Swift Mike - Shortly after the finish line appeared awkward in his action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

Race 6 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

7 Rio Will Rock – Beaten favourite. Approaching the 100m mark was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

2 Quicker Sophie - Late scratching at 9:25am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to coming on season. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

 

 

 

Race 7 - EASTS / CARINA U/21 30Y REUNION MIXED 4/5 366m

 

5 Lenny Large – Fell in catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside calf muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1), the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

Race 8 - WYNNUM HAULAGE CAPALABA YOUNG GUNS FINAL OPEN 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 9 - GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM BEST 8 366m

 

6 Black Comanche – Beaten favourite. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. Stewards spoke to trainer R Hassall regarding the greyhound’s performance. He stated he was disappointed with the run, expecting the greyhound to perform much better. Mr Hassall also stated he supported the greyhound and will discuss its future with the owner. Stewards noted the explanation.
