An inquiry was opened into Mr David Fitzgerald runner in Race 5 Turbo Percy. Stewards took evidence from Mr Fitzgerald and on course Vet. Mr Fitzgerald was directed to seek medical treatment within 24hrs for the greyhound. This matter was adjourned.

Race 3 - WYNNUM HAULAGE NOVICE 366m

 

Black Chrome – Beaten Favorite. Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. A post-race was taken from the greyhound. 

 

Race 4 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION GRADE 5 (1) 366m

Race 5 - SWOOSH FINANCE MIXED 4/5 366m

 

Turbo Percy – Late scratching at 10.06am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an injury to the tail during kennelling, the greyhound was stood down for 14 days.

 

Cyndie’s Swift – Checked and lost momentum shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

Too Much Scotch - Late scratching at 10.22am due to a weight variation. Pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Trainer Darren Taylor was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

 

Race 6 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC MIXED 3/4 366m

 

Freddy Vegas - Showed signed of aggression towards another runner in the catching pen. Acting under the provisions of GAR 131 Stewards advised trainer Mr Greg Ball the greyhound will require two catchers at future events

 

Race 7 - REMEMBERING BERYL GREEN BEST 8 366m

Our Bush Boy - A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside wrist injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 21 days.
