Licensed trainer Mr G Pearce was issued a reprimand in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 156(f)(ii), for comments made after the running of race two, that in the opinion of stewards constituted misconduct.

Race 1 - CAPALABA CAR WORLD MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 366m

4 Elysian Boy- Late scratching at 9.17am with stewards permission.

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 366m

Race 3 - WYNNUM HAULAGE NOVICE 366m

Race 4 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION MIXED 4/5 366m

1 Cosmic Kaos- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the tail and was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days. Stewards further order that they greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial prior to returning to racing.

Race 5 - SWOOSH FINANCE GRADE 5 (1) 366m

8 Painted Grinner- Turned its head and shifted towards another runner over the concluding stages. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer J Price regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Ms Price, stewards deemed Painted Grinner had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Painted Grinner was suspended from racing at Capalaba for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 6 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC GRADE 5 (2) 366m

Race 7 - TAB PREFERENTIAL BOX DRAW FINAL OPEN 366m

Race 8 - VALE KEIRON BUTLER MIXED 3/4 366m

3 Tweed Way- Turned its head towards the runner to its outside approaching the finish line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr M Johnston regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Johnston, stewards deemed Tweed Way had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Tweed Way was suspended from racing at Capalaba for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

Race 9 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS GRADE 5 (3) 366m

2 Freddles- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any findings.

Race 10 - SENTENCED AT STUD MASTERS HEAT 1 MA5 366m

5 Mexican Bandit- Faltered soon after the start. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hip support and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

Race 11 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT MASTERS HEAT 2 MA5 366m
