Race 1 - CAPALABA CAR WORLD MAIDEN 366m

 

2 Myona Countess - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer K.Galloway that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

3 Polly’s Vibe – Checked on numerous occasions shortly after the start.  Took an awkward stride approaching the 200m mark.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  Trainer R.Purtle stated the greyhound was returning from a season and was down in fitness but should benefit from the run.

 

7 Jilliby Devil – Checked off heels and fell approaching the 200m mark taking no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed injuries to the nearside forelimb and offside hindlimb.  Under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS NOVICE 366m

Race 3 - WYNNUM HAULAGE 1-3 WINS HEAT 1 1-3 WINS 366m

Race 4 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION 1-3 WINS HEAT 2 1-3 WINS 366m

 

3 Marquee Player – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer representative M.Steller regarding the greyhounds actions, after considering all available evidence, and M.Steller’s submissions stewards took no further action.

 

Race 5 - SWOOSH FINANCE GRADE 5 (1) 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 6 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS MIXED 3/4 366m

 

2 Blue Rambler – Looked awkward in its action leaving the 100m mark.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 7 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT BEST 8 366m

 

2 Tank Engine – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 8 - JEFFERY JONES CELEBRATION OF LIFE 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 366m
