General: Stewards delayed the All Clear for Race 5 in relation to a lighting malfunction with the red starting light. After reviewing the footage of the start and acting on their own observations, Stewards were satisfied that all runners started the race as normal with the activation of the green light and therefore declared All Clear on the judge’s numbers.

 

 

Race 1 - CAPALABA CAR WORLD MAIDEN 366m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 2 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS NOVICE 366m

 

2 Pennant Player – Slipped on the mat and fell shortly after the start, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 3 - WYNNUM HAULAGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 366m

 

8 Force – Checked off the heels of another runner at the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 4 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 366m

 

6 Regal Romeo – Faltered in its action shortly after the start, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hip support and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 5 - SWOOSH FINANCE 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 366m

Race 6 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS 1-3 WINS FINAL 1-3 WINS 366m

6 Biscuits Cloud – Faltered in its actions at the 300m, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hock and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days. The greyhound must trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 10 - TREVOR MCSHERRY CLASSIC MA5 366m

 

1 Tim Harrison – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Checked shortly after the start and lost ground.
