Stewards’ Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound PARTY VILLAGE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.84 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Ipswich until after 4 March 2016.

 

Stewards’ Trial 2 – 520m

The greyhound ORANGE THUNDER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.87 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks except Nowra.

 

 

RACE REPORTS

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn BIG DIPPA checked across the heels of ELITE BLUE BOY causing ELITE BLUE BOY to race wide in the early stages.  Approaching the back turn TABBERER and DASHING BRADSTA bumped.  TABBERER lost its position in this incident.  FERNLEE STAR raced wide in the back and home straights.

 

The greyhound BIG DIPPA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M

SMACK DAB was best to begin.  MINDY’S DREAM and CYNO GENERAL were slowest.  KILCARNEY DASH began awkwardly, shifted in making contact with CYNO GENERAL  both were momentarily unbalanced.  Shortly after DASHING BOND checked across the heels of ARABIAN KHALEESE and lost its position.  Through the home turn CYNO GENERAL improved onto the heels of WINSMIT becoming unbalanced.  SMACK DAB raced wide in the back and home straights.  KILCARNEY DASH raced wide for the majority.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN HEAT 3 520M

ARABIAN SHREDDER was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SPRING BLONDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn MAKE THE MOST, WITH HELD, OBI KENOBI and DON’T BE DUCKIN’ all raced tight and were hampered, resulting in MAKE THE MOST and WITH HELD both becoming severely unbalanced and DON’T BE DUCKIN’ falling.  SPRING BLONDE and CYNO SNIP raced wide in both straights.

 

The greyhound DON’T BE DUCKIN’ and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER NOVICE 520M

SKITTISH EXPRESS was best to begin.  Into the 1st turn KAR BLU bumped MAGIC MINSTREL causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and race wide.  Leaving the 1st turn OREO DELICIOUS checked across the heels of RAISE ‘EM UP and lost ground. KAR BLU and DUSTY WAY raced wide in both straights.

O’REILLY PET FOODS 4/5th GRADE 431M

WINNIE LOTTO, ULTIMATE STAR and ZABDON LA ROWSEY were slowest to begin.  Through the 1st turn ZABDON LA ROWSEY improved onto the heels of ULTIMATE STAR and was inconvenienced losing ground.  Approaching the back turn ZABDON LA ROWSEY was tightened, checked and lost ground, ULTIMATE STAR which was following suffered interference.  Through the back turn URBAN STREET, RENOUF’S MAGIC and SWITCH BLADE all raced tight,  URBAN STREET was momentarily inconvenienced and lost its position.  ULTIMATE STAR and SUNDAY SUNRISE raced wide throughout.

GENERAL HUNTER was slow to begin.  Into the 1st turn HER FAULT contacted DEEP DESPAIR and became unbalanced.  Through the 1st turn FRENCH IDOL checked across the heels of VELOCITY MYSTIC becoming inconvenienced and raced wide.  Leaving the 1st turn GENERAL HUNTER was checked and raced wide from that point until the finish of the race.  Approaching the back turn GENERAL HUNTER and DEEP DESPAIR collided, GENERAL HUNTER lost ground in this incident.  Through the back turn HER FAULT checked across the heels of SPRING OUT.  Rounding the home turn SPRING OUT checked across the heels of VELOCITY MYSTIC becoming inconvenienced.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE HEAT 520M

PROUD AS PUNCH, MISS GLENREAGH and CIGAR SAM were all best to begin.  Through the 1st turn OREO DELIGHT and DOOGAL bumped.  Over the final stages PROUD AS PUNCH was crowded for racing room between MAYWYN WILL WIN and CIGAR SAM.  DOOGAL and MAYWYN WILL WIN both raced wide throughout.

 

The greyhound OREO DELIGHT was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 5 days.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 3/4th GRADE 520M

MAYWYN’S COPY was best to begin with FAR FROM FEAR being slow.  Shortly after MAYWYN’S COPY shifted out hampering RUSTY’S IMAGE causing that greyhound to become unbalanced. Through the 1st turn RUSTY’S IMAGE checked off the heels of MAYWYN’S COPY and shifted wide making contact with I’M ALL STRIPES, which in turn bumped FASHION ADVICE, All greyhounds were momentarily inconvenienced.  RUSTY’S IMAGE and NOT THE ONE raced wide in both the straights.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE 431M

MAYWYN PETTYCASH was slow to begin.  Shortly after RIVAL STATE raced in restricted room and lost ground.  Into the 1st turn HURRICANE CHANCE made contact with the heels of JIMMY BRUTE, blundered and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn PROTO PENNY checked off heels, shifted out colliding with RIVAL STATE forcing that greyhound to race wide from that point and the remainder of the race.

GUNNADOO RAIDER and ADDY BEE were slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn GUNNADOO RAIDER improved onto heels, shifted out bumping SWITCHIN’ SIDES, which in turn made contact with LOVE YOU A LOT, which resulted in TINY TEMPAH and WALLOON WIZARD which were racing to the outside to be severely checked, both greyhound’s lost considerable ground. Approaching the back turn PURELY PENNY and ADDY BEE collided both became inconvenienced.  WALLOON WIZARD raced wide for the majority.
