MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M THROTTLE ON proved difficult to box
and the papers were endorsed accordingly.
KYOTO KAHN was best to begin.
THROTTLE ON and LADY PATRA bumped shortly after the start. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SPRING TRIXIE shifted out and made contact with JULIE SIZE causing that
greyhound to be hampered and thereafter continued to race wide. Approaching the turn out of the back straight
FARMOR I KNOW shifted in which tightened the racing room of LADY PATRA
causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
THROTTLE ON and LADY PATRA collided, resulting in LADY PATRA being checked
and lose ground. ARE YOU THERE and
SPRING TRIXIE raced wide in the front straight. |

RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M Even start. Approaching the turn into the back straight
STEALTH MODE and HEZA NOIR were both tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Shortly after HEZA NOIR
shifted out and made contact with WISH YOU WILL, which in turn shifted out
and made contact with COSMO WAZ causing all 3 greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Entering the back
straight FROSTY BROWN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. In the back straight WISH YOU
WILL shifted out and made contact with COSMO WAZ causing that greyhound to be
checked. ROSE A BELLA which was trailing
was checked as a result of this incident.
Approaching the turn into the front straight FROSTY BROWN crossed over
the heels of ELITE MARJ and was checked as a consequence. |

BANK MAIDEN FINAL 431M MILKY
CHANCE, ROSEDUE BLUE GUM and ANGEL PRINCESS were best to begin. Shortly after the start SHE SAID WHAT and
MY SUPER collided resulting in MY SUPER being checked and losing ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SPRING SAMBIA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after SHE SAID WHAT was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Entering the back straight MY SUPER and STILL COMING collided causing
STILL COMING to be checked and lose ground.
In the back straight ROSEDUE BLUE GUM raced wide. |

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES NOVICE 431M RYLI’S MIA and ONYA BENZ were best
to begin. AUGUST FLAME and SPILLING
SECRETS were slow out. Approaching the
turn into the back straight SPILLING SECRETS made contact with the
hindquarters of STEALTH FIGHTER causing both greyhounds to be checked. In the back straight FARMOR KABOOM was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound SPILLING SECRETS was
vetted and no apparent injuries were found. |

GATTON
TYRE SERVICE 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M GIFT BOX and LONESOME DUK were best
to begin. Shortly after the start
BEACH FRONT shifted out and made contact with DOWN THEY CAME causing that
greyhound to be checked and lose ground.
DOWN THEY CAME and LONESOME DUK raced wide in the back straight. DOWN THEY CAME commenced to give ground
leaving the back straight on the final occasion and finished a considerable
distance from the remainder of the field. The
greyhound DOWN THEY CAME was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th
GRADE HEAT 2 520M Even start. Shortly after the start LUCY BENZ shifted
out and made contact with MAGICAL YESSAM, which in turn then shifted out and
made contact with UNIQUE AFFAIR causing both greyhounds to be checked. Leaving the front straight LUCY BENZ and
MAGICAL YESSAM bumped causing both greyhounds to be hampered. In the back straight MAGICAL YESSAM and
UNIQUE AFFAIR collided causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

GJ WALSH
& CO 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start. IRONBAR JILL was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight
CHEEKY CHANCE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight CHEEKY CHANCE
shifted out and made contact with SPLIT SYSTEM causing both greyhounds to be
hampered. SMASHNIAK HARE began to give
ground leaving the back straight and was shortly after retired from the
event. Mr. A Sommerfield the trainer of
IRONBAR JILL explained to that they greyhound was somewhat difficult in load
to the boxes today which may have contributed to the fact that IRONBAR JILL
did not begin in its usual manner, which in his view was a major contributing
factor to IRONBAR JILL not running on over the concluding stages. Mr. Sommerfield stated that it appears that
the greyhound needs to be leading or close to the lead as it is an on lure
runner and whilst he was disappointed in the performance it contributed to
the poor start that the greyhound received.
Stewards noted his explanation. The
greyhound SMASHNIAK HARE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE FINAL 520M SKITTISH EXPRESS and
DOOGAL were best to begin. Leaving the
front straight SKITTISH EXPRESS was tightened for racing room, shifted out
and made heavy contact with DOOGAL, causing both greyhounds to be severely checked. RATATAT and ALPHA ACHILLES were both
checked as a consequence. Rounding the
turn into the back straight ROCKY BE GOOD was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. In the back
straight DOOGAL crossed over the heels of SKITTISH EXPRESS and was hampered. The
greyhound DOOGAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. |

IMA COWBOY clipped the heels of GUNSTOCK and was momentarily hampered. Leaving the back straight FYRE GAL made
contact with the hindquarters of SMASHNIAK CLASS causing that greyhound to be
checked and lose ground. |
