TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound CHEEKY CHEECH performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.24 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until after 7 April 2016.

Whelping Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound GOT NO CENTS failed whelping trial over the distance of 431m and suffered an off hind back muscle injury and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks.

ON THE RIZE was best to begin. FARMOR BRING IT was slow to begin. Shortly after the start LEEROY ROGUE and NORDOC MAGIC collided with NORDOC MAGIC being hampered. STRIKE OIL which was trailing was hampered along with BULK TOOTH BUCKY. Shortly after LEEROY ROGUE shifted in tightening the running of THROTTLE ON which was checked. Through the turn into the front straight AVAMAY and LEEROY ROGUE bumped on several occasions. STRIKE OIL and NORDOC MAGIC raced wide in the back straight. STRIKE OIL then raced wide in the front straight. On entering the front straight AVAMAY and LEEROY ROGUE bumped.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

SIZEABLE began awkwardly. TRELLY KNEELS was best to begin. FROSTY ZERO was slow to begin. Shortly after the start GUY FAWKES bumped with TRELLY KNEELS. GUY FAWKES then shifted in colliding with CAGEY VEE and SHEZ MY GIRL, resulting in CAGEY VEE being checked and SHEZ MY GIRL being hampered. FROSTY ZERO which was trailing was hampered and forced wider on the track. Shortly after SHEZ MY GIRL collided with MILKY CHANCE. Through the turn into the back straight GUY FAWKES improved onto the heels of SHEZ MY GIRL. SHEZ MY GIRL was checked as a result. SIZEABLE improved onto the heels of ROSDUE BLUE GUM and was severely checked. FROSTY ZERO which was trailing was checked and forced out wider on the track. ROSDUE BLUE GUM raced wide in the back straight. Leaving the back straight into the turn GUY FAWKES improved onto the heels of SHEZ MY GIRL and was hampered as a result. Through the turn into the front straight SIZEABLE and FROSTY ZERO bumped on several occasions.

The greyhound SIZEABLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

3.	ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN FINAL 431M KYOTO KAHN, ARE YOU THERE and STEALTH MODE were best to begin. Shortly after the start ARE YOU THERE and STEALTH MODE collided. ELITE MARJ which was trailing was hampered as a result. ELITE MARJ then shifted in colliding with FARMOR I KNOW which was taken in onto JULIE SIZE. Both greyhounds were hampered as a result. Shortly after STEALTH MODE, ELITE MARJ, FARMOR I KNOW and JULIE SIZE all raced tight with FARMOR I KNOW and ELITE MARJ being checked. Leaving the back straight into the turn STEALTH MODE shifted in tightening the running of FARMOR I KNOW which was checked. Out of the turn into the front straight STEALTH MODE marred the running of JULIE SIZE. Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Short that the greyhound STEALTH MODE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1^st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. WISH YOU WILL and ARE YOU THERE raced wide in the front straight.

4.	ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES NOVICE 431M SPILLING SECRETS was slow to begin. Through the turn into the back straight JUST PRETEND, CAZORLA and KITANGEL all raced tight with KITANGEL being hampered. FARMOR KABOOM which was trailing improved onto the heels of KITANGEL resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Out of the turn into the back straight JUST PRETEND collided with ELL’S ALL CLASS resulting in ELL’S ALL CLASS being severely checked and almost falling. JUST PRETEND then shifted out making heavy contact with WOOZIE DOOZIE which collided heavily with AUGUST FLAME, resulting in WOOZIE DOOZIE falling and taking no further part in the event and AUGUST FLAME being checked. In the front straight KITANGEL bumped with FARMOR KABOOM. The greyhound ELL’S ALL CLASS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound WOOZIE DOOZIE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

GATTON TYRE SERVICE 4/5^th GRADE 431M

DON’T GO QUIETLY, MAYWYN PETTYCASH and GUNNADOO RAIDER were slow to begin. Through the turn into the back straight SUNDAY SUNRISE raced wide. MAYWYN PETTYCASH raced wide in the front straight.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5^th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

SOOT SPRITE was best to begin. Entering the 1^st turn UNIQUE AFFAIR was tightened for room and hampered. ALPHA ACHILLES improved onto the heels of MAYWYN WILL WIN and was checked. Shortly after GOLD DIVA collided with ALOTA AMY resulting in both greyhounds being checked.

7.	GJ WALSH & CO 5^th GRADE HEAT 2 520M BYE BYE, GIFTED ANGEL and DASH OF FAITH were all best to begin. Shortly after the start SCAR’S BROTHER was tightened for room and checked. On entering the 1^st turn DASH OF FAITH shifted in tightening the running of STOLE MY HEART, which in turn shifted in tightening the running of COSMIC SPLIT, which collided with STOLE MY HEART. UNIQUE KALEESI and HURRICANE CHANCE which was trailing was hampered and forced wider on the track. Shortly after SCAR’S BROTHER collided with STOLE MY HEART. In the back straight HURRICANE CHANCE shifted in tightening the running of GIFTED ANGEL which was hampered.

8.	GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5^th GRADE FINAL 520M The running of race 8 was delayed due to weather conditions. The amended race times were rescheduled to: Race 8 – 5.42pm, Race 9 – 5.59pm and Race 10 – 6.15pm. The track was subsequently downgraded to ‘Slow’. GIFT BOX was best to begin. AUBERON was slow to begin as was SHE CAN DO. On entering the 1^st turn BEACH FRONT shifted in tightening the running of AUBERON which was checked, bumped the rail and forced out wider on the track. ALPHA MIMOS raced wide rounding the 1^st turn. LONESOME DUK raced wide in the back and front straights. Leaving the back straight UNIQUE GHOSTY shifted in tightening the running of MAYWYN’S COPY which was checked. Shortly after BEACH FRONT shifted in tightening the running of AUBERON, which was checked. The greyhound AUBERON was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5^th GRADE 431M

The start of this race was delayed when holding for an interstate harness event.

GUNSTOCK was best to begin. WHITE MACOY was slow to begin. BILLY ROSE HI and MAYWYN ZILCH bumped at the start. MAYWYN ZILCH then shifted out and collided with WILD ELITE. Shortly after SPRING AGUSTUS shifted in and collided with SPRING CHOICE. Through the turn into the back straight WILD ELITE shifted in tightening the running of WHITE MACOY which was checked and shifted out wider on the track. Out of the turn into the back straight SPRING AGUSTUS shifted in tightening the running of SPRING CHOICE which was hampered.

THIS TIME MADDIE was best to begin. ALLOYD CHARM was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING TWIG and BROTHER GLENN bumped. Shortly after BLUEY’S SHOUT and BIG BAGO bumped. Through the turn into the back straight THIS TIME MADDIE shifted in tightening the running of BROTHER GLENN, which was checked. Shortly after ALLOYD CHARM and BIG BAGO bumped on several occasions resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Leaving the back straight into the turn THIS TIME MADDIE collided with BROTHER GLENN, resulting in THIS TIME MADDIE being checked. SPRITLY LADY and SPRING TWIG which were both trailing were both checked as a result. On entering the front straight SPRITLY LADY bumped ALLOYD CHARM.
