MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M Even start. Shortly after the start JULIE SIZE, I’M
OUTTA HERE, LORALANE KAHN, KILCARNEY MIST, GO BLACK BIDDY and MISSED CONTROL
were all tightened for racing room and checked to varying degrees. Leaving the back straight KILCARNEY MIST
baulked and became awkward in its stride.
AVAMAY raced wide in the front straight. The greyhound KILCARNEY MIST was
vetted and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY
RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M MIGHTY NOVA, MEDIA CIRCUS and CHIEF
CHEROKEE were best to begin. Shortly
after the start TOMMY BENZ and FROSTY BROWN collided. Approaching the turn into the back straight
MIGHTY NOVA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. TAKEN NOVA, FROSTY ZERO and SHOTGUN were
all checked as a consequence. Shortly
after MEDIA CIRCUS and CHIEF CHEROKEE collided causing both greyhounds to be
checked. Leaving the back straight
MIGHTY NOVA contacted the heels of CHIEF CHEROKEE and was checked. FROSTY ZERO which was racing to its outside
was severely checked and fell as a consequence. SHOTGUN was hampered as a result of this
incident. The greyhound FROSTY ZERO was vetted
and no apparent injuries were found. |

BANK MAIDEN FINAL 431M Even
start. Shortly after the start JAZZ
PIZAZZ turned its head and made muzzle contact with SHEZ MY GIRL. Approaching the turn into the back straight
JAZZ PIZAZZ, COSADO SUN, LALIQUE, GIDDY UP PATSY, IONISATION and ELITE MARJ
were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground to various
degrees. Shortly after JAZZ PIZAZZ
turned its head outward and made muzzle contact with GIDDY UP PATSY. In the back straight IONISATION shifted out
and made contact with JAZZ PIZAZZ causing that greyhound to be checked and
lose ground. Leaving the back straight
JAZZ PIZAZZ shifted out and made contact with ELITE MARJ causing the
greyhound to be checked. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. M Edwards that the greyhound JAZZ PIZAZZ would be charged
under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES NOVICE 431M The start of this race was delayed
when MAKE THE MOST proved difficult to box.
After speaking with trainer Ms. A O’Reilly and considering the
greyhounds’ good previous record the greyhound will be given 1 more chance to
box in the desired manner. Even start. Shortly after the start FARMOR DIVA and
MAKE THE MOST collided. Shortly after
FARMOR DIVA, MAKE THE MOST and BLUE JOY were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Approaching
the turn into the back straight COMPLETE CONTROL and WINSOME HARPER collided
resulting in WINSOME HARPER shifting out and making contact with RUFF AND
TINGLE which in turn shifted out and made contact with GAGAN GIRL, causing
all 3 greyhounds to be checked.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight MAKE THE MOST was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight FARMOR DIVA was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

GATTON
TYRE SERVICES NOVICE 431M ALOTA CONTROL, MARLOW’S WALTZ,
SPILLING SECRETS and JUST PRETEND were best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SPILLING SECRETS, COUNTRY CYCLONE and JUST PRETEND raced tight, resulting in
all 3 greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. Leaving the back straight MARLOW’S WALTZ
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. NEDGO GIRL which was trailing was checked
as a consequence. Approaching the turn
into the front straight NEDGO GIRL was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th
GRADE 431M The start of this race was delayed
momentarily when LEADFOOT EXPRESS proved difficult to box. After considering the greyhound’s good
record in respect of this matter trainer Mr. R Marshall was advised the
greyhound will be given 1 more chance to the box in the desired manner. Even start. Shortly after the start WILDASH WILDBOY was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight GAGAN NANCY
contacted the hindquarters of LEADFOOT EXPRESS and was checked as a
consequence. NEVER THE TRUTH which was
trailing was checked as a result of this incident. Leaving the back straight NINA ROSE HI was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Trainer Mr. G Miggins was
reprimanded under Rule 86 (q) for the manner he conducted himself during the
running of this race. |

GJ WALSH
& CO 5th GRADE 520M Even start. RIVAL STATE was tightened shortly after the
start, checked and lost ground. THERE
SHE WAS failed to muster speed during the early part of the race. Leaving the front straight RIVAL STATE was
tightened for racing room, shifted out and made contact with HYPNOTIZED,
which in turn shifted out and made contact with HOUDINI HI, resulting in all
3 greyhounds to be checked. THERE SHE
WAS which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Approaching the turn in to the back
straight HYPNOTIZED and HOUDINI HI collided causing both greyhounds to be
checked. The greyhound RIVAL STATE was vetted
and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind calf muscle and was
stood down for a period of 7 days. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE 431M TINY TURNER, RYLI’S RANGA
and LUCY BENZ were best to begin.
Approaching the turn into the back straight MAL ROSE HI, WILDASH
WILDFIRE and RYLI’S RANGA were all tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. LIL’ BIT SPARKY was
checked as a consequence. Entering the
back straight MAL ROSE HI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight HEZA
SIZE UP was momentarily held up for running and checked over the heels of
TINY TURNER and was hampered. In the
front straight over the concluding stages RYLI’S RANGA turned its head and
made muzzle contact with WILDASH WILDFIRE. Stewards advised trainer
Mr. P Sullivan that the greyhound RYLI’S RANGA would be charged under Rule 69
Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
431m all tracks. |

& DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE 431M ONYA BENZ, GIFTED ANGEL and
SMASHNIAK STAR were best to begin.
BOMBAY ROLLER was slow out.
Approaching the turn into the back straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after ALLOYD CHARM contacted the hindquarters of MAL ROSE HI
causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Entering the front straight ALLOYD CHARM
turned its head and made muzzle contact with MAL ROSE HI. Stewards advised trainer Ms. N
Peters that the greyhound ALLOYD CHARM would be charged under Rule 69
Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
431m all tracks. |
