Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound BLACK COBIA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.59 and is now cleared all tracks up to 431m only.

 

The greyhound ALLOYD CHARM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.52 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until after 9 May 2016.

 

Return to Racing Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound GEM EXPRESS performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.22.

 

 

RACE REPORTS

 

 

1.

BLACK RHINO was best to begin.  BACK ON TRACK and DON’T BE DUCKIN’ bumped shortly after the start.  BACK ON TRACK and ISLA’S OPAL bumped on the 1st turn after the start, resulting in BACK ON TRACK bumping SPRING LOLA, causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground, causing some inconvenience to LALIQUE.  LALIQUE checked off the heels of BACK ON TRACK and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound DON’T BE DUCKIN’ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. S Topping that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks prior to nominating.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

PENCIL and COSADO SUN were best to begin.  LUCKY MARLOW jumped awkwardly and lost ground as the start was effected.  SPRING HORNET and SPRING MARSHALL bumped on the 1st turn after the start.  COSADO SUN checked across the heels of PENCIL approaching the turn into the back straight COSADO SUN continued to shift in bumping SPRING MARSHALL causing that greyhound to lose considerable ground, resulting in interference to HUNTER’S A STAR, CHOPPER NORRIS and SHOTGUN.  LUCKY MARLOW was tightened for racing room and checked off the heels of SPRING HORNET on the turn into the back straight.  LUCKY MARLOW and SPRING HORNET bumped prior to entering the front straight.  COSADO SUN crossed from a wide position in the home straight causing some inconvenienced to SPRING MARSHALL.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN HEAT 3 431M

LITE ME UP was best to begin.  MIDNIGHT DASHER jumped awkward and bumped TRIPLE BEE as the start was effected, resulting in TRIPLE BEE losing ground.  GO FOR HOME, SPRING ECLIPSE and THROTTLE ON bumped shortly after the start resulting in SPRING ECLIPSE and TROTTLE ON becoming unbalanced and losing ground, causing some inconvenience to MIDNIGHT DASHER.  TRIPLE BEE checked off the heels of SPRING ECLIPSE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  TRIPLE BEE improved onto the hindquarters of TROTTLE ON just prior to entering the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  TROTTLE ON raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound TRIPLE BEE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore toe and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

The greyhound JOKER’S CHARM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore metacarpal and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M

MEDIA CIRCUS was best to begin.  TOMMY BENZ was marginally slow to begin.  CHIEF CHEROKEE shifted in from a wide position shortly after the start bumping JULIE SIZE in onto AVAMAY, in turn onto TAKEN NOVA, resulting in all these greyhounds losing ground and causing interference to TOMMY BENZ.  CHIEF CHEROKEE continued to shift in bumping GEMMA BENZ on the turn into the back straight resulting in CHIEF CHEROKEE becoming unbalanced and losing ground, resulting in interference to JULIE SIZE, AVAMAY and TAKEN NOVA.  TAKEN NOVA checked off the heels of CHIEF CHEROKEE and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  FROSTY BROWN checked off the heels of MEDIA CIRCUS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  TOMMY BENZ raced wide into the back straight.  TOMMY BENZ raced wide into the home straight.  TAKEN NOVA raced wide in the home straight.

GATTON TYRE SERVICE NOVICE 431M

SPRING TRIXIE was best to begin.  BLUE JOY and LOVE YOU ALOT bumped on the 1st turn after the start.  Shortly after HANNAH ALLEN shifted in bumping LOVE YOU ALOT onto BLUE JOY, resulting in these 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  SPRING TRIXIE raced wide in the back straight.  SPRING TRIXIE raced wide in the home straight.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYGHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th GRADE 520M

BYE BYE and DASHING CHARGER were best to begin.  FYRE GAL was slow to begin.  SPLIT SYSTEM and BROTHER GLENN bumped at the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BROTHER GLENN and FYRE GAL bumped on the turn out of the back straight.  CIGAR SAM and DASHING CHARGER bumped in the front straight on the final occasion, resulting in DASHING CHARGER losing some ground.

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE 431M

KAMILAROI DUK was best to begin.  GUNNADOO RAIDER and FAR FROM FEAR were marginally slow to begin.  DARCY’S CURSE was slow to begin.  SPRING CHOICE checked off the heels of EL CAPO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  FAR FROM FEAR checked off the heels of ULTIMATE STAR and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  ULTIMATE STAR raced wide in the back straight.  SPRING CHOICE and DARCY’S CURSE bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in SPRING CHOICE losing ground.  FAR FROM FEAR and GUNNADOO RAIDER bumped just prior to the finish line.

 

The greyhound SPRING CHOICE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

GENTABLUE PET FOODS 5th GRADE 431M

LEADFOOT EXPRESS was difficult to load and LEADFOOD EXPRESS in future races will be loaded in first.  Even start with KIKEM SPRINGER slow to begin.  ONYA BENZ shifted down shortly after the start bumping SPRING IT ON, in onto WILDASH TAPPER, in turn onto LAKODA BUTTONS, resulting in those greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Shortly after WILDASH TAPPER and KIKEM SPRINGER bumped heavily resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  ONYA BENZ checked off the heels of STEEL ROSE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  KIKEM SPRINGER raced wide in the back straight.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE 431M

The start of this race was delayed 1 minute due to interstate harness racing.

 

Even start.  RUFF AND TINGLE and CELESTIAL SELENE bumped shortly after the start resulting in RUFF AND TINGLE becoming unbalanced and losing ground CELESTIAL SELENE and TELEX FINGERS bumped on the turn into the back straight.  TELEX FINGERS checked off the heels of TRUE VIKING and lost some ground entering the back straight.  TELEX FINGERS checked off the heels of BANG ON TARGET resulting in TELEX FINGERS becoming unbalanced and falling, causing severe interference to SWEET CRYSTAL who also fell on the turn out of the back straight.  TRUE VIKING checked across the heels of CELESTIAL SELENE and lost some ground on the turn into the front straight.  BANG ON TARGET checked across the heels of TRUE VIKING and raced wide into the home straight.

 

The greyhound TELEX FINGERS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SWEET CRYSTAL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind legand was stood down for a period of 21 days.

LUCY BENZ was best to begin.  DON’T GO QUIETLY was marginally slow to begin.  GOLD TOTAL checked off the heels of LUCY BENZ and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  CHEEKY CHEECH crossed from a wide position on the turn into the back straight tightening DON’T DOUBLE UP in onto FABULOUS STORM, onto DON’T GO QUIETLY, resulting in these 3 greyhounds being checked and losing ground.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide in the back straight.  GOLD TOTAL and CHEEKY CHEECH bumped on the turn into the front straight, resulting in both greyhounds racing wide into the straight.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide in the home straight.
