MAIDEN 431M SHAYLOR HULA was slow to begin. SMACK DAB was best to begin. Shortly after the start SMACK DAB and
COLLISIONATE bumped. LEIGH’S MIMSEAL
shifted out tightening the running of GOTCHA NOW which in turn was taken out
and collided with ISLA’S OPAL, resulting in both greyhounds being checked. GO FOR HOME and SHAYLOR HULA raced wide in
the back straight. Through the turn
into the front straight ISLA’S OPAL and LEIGH’S MIMSEAL collided resulting in
LEIGH’S MIMSEAL being hampered. In the
front straight COLLISIONATE and ISLA’S OPAL collided on several
occasions. LEIGH’S MIMSEAL, SHAYLOR
HULA and GO FOR HOME all raced wide in the front straight. |

SKY
RACING MAIDEN 431M GEM EXPRESS and ON THE WALL were
best to begin. FROSTY O’REILLY was
slow to begin. Shortly after the start
HUNTER’S A STAR jumped out and collided with CYNO CANDY which was
hampered. Through the turn into the
back straight STUBBORN MISS, GEM EXPRESS and ON THE WALL all collided. STUBBORN MISS then shifted out and collided
with ICE PANTHER who was taken out and collided with BENTAXLE resulting in
STUBBORN MISS, ICE PANTHER and BENTAXLE all being checked. Out of the turn into the back straight CYNO
CANDY and ICE PANTHER bumped. Out of
the back straight into the turn ICE PANTHER shifted in resulting in CYNO
CANDY being checked, falling and taking no further competitive part in the
event. The greyhound CYNO CANDY was vetted
and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down
for a period of 10 days. |

YOU WILL was best to begin. Shortly
after the start SHOTGUN, FROSTY AMY and FROSTY ZERO all raced tight resulting
in all 3 greyhounds being checked.
Through the turn into the front straight WINDY GIRL shifted in
tightening the running of WISH YOU WILL which was checked. |

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M SPRING TRIXIE and TOUCH OF CAJUN
were best to begin. CYNO BIRD was slow
to begin. Through the turn into the
back straight SNEAKIN’ OUT and DUCHESS DOLLY bumped resulting in DUCHESS
DOLLY being hampered. Shortly after
LASTANGO improved onto the heels of SNEAKIN’ OUT, shifted out and collided
with DUCHESS DOLLY resulting in both runners being taken wider and checked as
a result. In the front straight TOUCH
OF CAJUN was tightened for room and checked. |

O’TOOLEY PAINTER 5th GRADE FINAL 431M Even start. WATTA STEP UP was slow to begin. Shortly after the start KINLOCH BEACH
shifted out tightening the running of FABULOUS ABBY and JAHIMIA, resulting in
FABULOUS ABBY and JAHIMIA being checked and losing ground. Through the turn into the back straight KINLOCH
BEACH and COSMO WAZ bumped on a number of occasions resulting in both runners
being hampered. Through the turn into
the front straight HOOP DREAMS shifted out and across the heels of FABULOUS
ABBY and was checked. In the back
straight JAHIMIA and DODGY DANCER raced wide.

GRADE HEAT 1 431M FABULUOS KATIE was best to
begin. MAYWYN’S YING was slow to
begin. Through the turn into the back
straight FABULOUS KATIE shifted in tightening the running of NORDOC MAGIC
which was checked. DASHING CHARGER
which was trailling was hampered as a result.
On entering the back straight SNOWBALL BOB shifted out taking DASHING
CHARGER out and across the heels of PENCIL.
SNOWBALL BOB continued to shift out and collided with PENCIL,
resulting in both greyhounds being checked.
Through the turn into the front straight SNOWBALL BOB raced wide. PENCIL raced wide in the front straight. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M LONG LONG MOCHA was slow to
begin. FLAPPING GUMS and MAYWYN WILL
WIN bumped shortly after the start.
Through the turn into the back straight MAYWYN WILL WIN clipped the
heels of FLAPPING GUMS and was checked.
FLAPPING GUMS and HYDROGEN collided resulting in both runners being
checked and forced out wider on the track.
LONG LONG MOCHA which was trailling was hampered as a result. On entering the back straight MAYWYN WILL
WIN checked across the heels of CELESTIAL SELENE. Out of the back straight into the turn TRUE
VIKING was tightened for room and hampered.
Through the turn into the front straight FLAPPING GUMS shifted in and
collided with MAYWYN WILL WIN resulting in that greyhound being checked. TRUE VIKING which was racing to the inside
of MAYWYN WILL WIN was hampered as a result.
In the front straight MAYWYN WILL WIN shifted out and bumped LONG LONG
MOCHA. The greyhound CELESTIAL SELENE was
vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side dew claw and was
stood down for a period of 10 days. |

431M Even start. Through the turn into the back straight
COSMO BILL and MAYWYN IF LUCKY collided, resulting in both runners being
hampered. Shortly after ISA STAR was
tightened for room and hampered. BANG
ON TARGET improved onto the heels of SPRING IT ON, was hampered and forced
out wider on the track. On entering
the back straight RHONDDA MINER shifted in tightening the running of ISA STAR
which was checked. MAYWYN IF LUCKY and
SPRING IT ON which were both trailling were checked as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn ISA
STAR improved onto the heels of SPRING IT ON and was checked. The greyhound ISA STAR
was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. |

begin. Shortly after the start DRAGON
DANCER and SAVE US bumped. Through the
turn into the back straight SAVE US shifted in tightening the running of
DRAGON DANCER and BIG BAGO, resulting in both these runners being
checked. TINI TEMPAH which was trailing
was hampered as a result. On entering
the back straight HASSIE’S HASSLE checked across the heels of SPRING
SHANGHAI. Out of the back straight
into the turn TINIE TEMPAH shifted in tightening the running of BIG BAGO
which was checked. |

MASTERS 431M MAYWYN ZILCH was best to begin. ROYAL ALBERT was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MISS ESPOSITO was
tightened of room and checked. Through
the turn into the back straight NOT WORTH IT, SPRING FIRECHIEF, ZARA GIRL and
FYRE GAL all raced tight resulting in SPRING FIRECHIEF, ZARA GIRL and FYRE
GAL all being checked. MISS ESPOSITO which
was trailing was checked as a result.
MISS ESPOSITO raced wide in the back straight. Stewards questioned trainer’s
representative of MAYWYN ZILCH in regards to the greyhound’s performance over
the concluding stages of the event.
The greyhound MAYWYN ZILCH was examined by the race day veterinary
surgeon and no apparent injuries were found.
In the opinion of the veterinary the greyhound did not cramp over the
concluding stages of the event.
Stewards in giving consideration to the comments put forward by the
veterinary surgeon took no further action against the greyhound. |
