Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound SHIFT SEINE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.21 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane.

STILL COMING was best to begin. FROSTY O’REILLY was slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn HUNTER’S A STAR was tightened for room and hampered. FROSTY O’REILLY which was trailing shifted out to avoid that runner’s heels and made the turn wide. Through the turn into the back straight HUNTER’S A STAR and SPRING ABBY bumped. Rounding the turn into the front straight FAST GIRL ZOLA improved onto the heels of STILL COMING and shifted out to avoid that runner’s heels and bumped TINK ALLEN. Shortly after SPRING ABBY and FROSTY O’REILLY collided. HUNTER’S A STAR and SPRING ABBY bumped on several occasions over the concluding stages of the event.

The greyhound SPRING ABBY underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound STILL COMING underwent a veterinary examination and revealed the greyhound to be suffering an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

VET EXAMINATIONS: SPRING ABBY

SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 520M

SPRING MARSHALL and MIGHTY NOVA were best to begin. RUSEV and RUFFY ROAD were slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn CECA STRIDE and ITSA PATCHY collided resulting in CECA STRIDE falling and taking no further competitive part in the event. ITSA PATCHY was checked and forced out wider on the track. MINDY’S DREAM and RUFFY ROAD collided resulting in RUFFY ROAD being hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn MINDY’S DREAM was tightened for room and checked. RUFFY ROAD raced wide in the front straight.

The greyhound CECA STRIDE underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound RUSEV underwent a veterinary examination and revealed the greyhound to be suffering an injury to the near fore toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

The greyhound ITSA PATCHY underwent a veterinary examination and revealed the greyhound to be suffering an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

3.	ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK NOVICE 520M OUT OF PUNCH and FARMOR DIVA were best to begin. BATTY LOVES BEER was slow to begin. On entering the 1^st turn MY SUPER shifted out and bumped OUT OF PUNCH which then shifted out and bumped FARMOR DIVA, which then shifted out and collided with ARE YOU THERE forcing that runner wider on the track. Shortly after GRIFFIN and JAYDEN’S A STAR collided. Through the turn into the back straight GRIFFIN checked across the heels of JAYDEN’S A STAR. GRIFFIN raced wide in the back straight. The greyhound BATTY LOVES BEER underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. J Quarman was questioned in regards to the greyhound’s performance in tonight’s meeting. Mr. Quarman stated that he was disappointed in the greyhound’s performance tonight and expected a better showing. He further added that the greyhound was not suited to tonight’s track conditions.

4.	TRAIN & TRACK KIBBLE 5^th GRADE 520M FAST AS was best to begin. DUSTY WAY was slow to begin. VENETIAN RESULTS raced wide in the back straight. Out of the back straight into the turn BAD MOON MAGIC and GIFTED ANGEL collided resulting in GIFTED ANGEL being checked.

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER 5^th GRADE FINAL 520M

Even start. Shortly after the start BUSH SPIRIT and CARIBBEAN JET collided resulting in both runners being checked. Shortly after RUM RAMBLER was tightened for room and checked. On entering the 1^st turn RUM RAMBLER, DASH OF FAITH and HURRICANE CHANCE all collided resulting in HURRICANE CHANCE falling and taking no further competitive part in the event. DASH OF FAITH was forced out wider on the track and checked as a result.

The greyhound HURRICANE CHANCE underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

MISS JACKPOT and DOUBLE STORM were slow to begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC SPARKLE and DOUBLE STORM collided resulting in MAGIC SPARKLE being checked. MAGIC SPARKLE then shifted in tightening the running of MISS JACKPOT which was checked and shifted out wider on the track. Approaching the 1^st turn DOUBLE STORM checked across the heels of PASSIVE PROTEST. LARA SAINT and MISS JACKPOT raced wide in the back straight. MISS JACKPOT and DOUBLE STORM bumped in the front straight.

7.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4^th GRADE 520M Even start. Shortly after the start KING SIZED, LORIAN ADITI and FLYING CIRCUS bumped. On entering the 1^stturn CHEEKY CHANCE, CHEEKY FREYER, RICH ‘N’ WILD and LORIAN ADITI all raced tight resulting in CHEEKY FREYER and RICH ‘N’ WILD being checked. Shortly after KING SIZED shifted out and bumped LORIAN ADITI. On entering the front straight RICH ‘N’ WILD and LORIAN ADITI bumped.

8.	GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON BEST 8 520M FABULOUS STORM, DON’T GO QUIETLY and SPRING DREAM were all slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn BRAGA MCCCOY shifted in tightening the running of SPRING GRACE which was checked. SPRING DREAM which was trailing collided with SPRING GRACE, resulting in that runner being checked, shifting out and then colliding with FABULOUS STORM. Shortly after DON’T GO QUIETLY and BRAGA MCCOY bumped. RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the back and front straights. In the front straight SPRING DREAM improved onto the heels of DON’T’ GO QUIETLY and was checked.

LONESOME DUK was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING RAYMOND and HEZA SIZE UP collided. FARMOR MAYHEM and ALEEAH JET bumped. Through the turn into the back straight SPRING RAYMOND was tightened for room and hampered. Leaving the back straight into the turn HEZA SIZE UP shifted in tightening the running of ALEEAH JET which was checked. LONESOME DUK raced wide in the back straight. In the front straight DON’T DOUBLE UP shifted in tightening the running of LONESOME DUK which was hampered.

Even start. Shortly after the start FLAPPING GUMS and ULTIMATE STAR collided. Through the turn into the back straight COOL CREDIT was tightened for room and lost ground. FLAPPING GUMS raced wide in the back straight. Out of the back straight into the turn COOL CREDIT was tightened for room and checked. REPTAR, ARK UP and FLAPPING GUMS all bumped rounding the home turn into the front straight. IMA COWBOY raced wide in the back and front straights.
