Even start with COLLISONATE and GO FOR HOME slow to begin.  Shortly after the start UPBEAT TEMPO and GALWAY EAGLE were tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight KIRRALI GROVE and HIRED GOON collided.  Through the turn into the back straight STALKING MOON and SOUTH BRIDGE collided, resulting in STALKING MOON falling and taking no further competitive part in the event.  KIRRALI GROVE, GALWAY EAGLE, COLLISIONATE and GO FOR HOME which were all trailing were hampered as a result.  On entering the back straight KIRRALI GROVE was tightened for room and lost ground.  GO FOR HOME raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound STALKING MOON was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M

FEARING PEGGY was best to begin.  BENTAXLE began awkwardly.  Shortly after the start LANCASTER BOMBER and HUNTER’S A STAR bumped.  On entering the 1st turn BENTAXLE was tightened for room and collided with the running rail.  LANCASTER BOMBER was tightened for room and checked on entering the 1st turn.  Through the turn into the back straight BENTAXLE and CYNO STEIN collided.  On entering the front straight LANCASTER BOMBER shifted out and collided with FROSTY O’REILLY.  HUNTER’S A STAR raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound BENTAXLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M

SHEZA RULER was best to begin.  AURIGA BINDI and MY MOJO were slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn AURIGA BINDI was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn MY MOJO and MOVIER MARATHON bumped.  Through the turn into the front straight AURIGA BINDI improved onto the heels of MY MOJO and was hampered.  CYNO SNIP raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound AURIGA BINDI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GATTON TYRE SERVICE NOVICE 431M

WINDY GIRL and MONOCEROS were best to begin.  GEM EXPRESS was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MONOCEROS shifted out resulting in SPRING CRUSHER being hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight BACK ON TRACK and LASTANGO collided.  On entering the back straight LASTANGO was tightened for room and checked.  In the back straight BEEJAY MCROCKET contacted the heels of SPRING CRUSHER resulting in both runners being slightly hampered.  Leaving the back straight into the turn MONOCEROS was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight BACK ON TRACK improved onto the heels of BEEJAY MCROCKET resulting in BEEJAY MCROCKET being checked.  WINDY GIRL raced wide rounding the turn and into the front straight.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX NOVICE 520M

FROSTY BROWN was slow to begin.  JAYDEN’S A STAR raced wide through the 1st turn.  Out of the back straight into the turn JAYDEN’S A STAR improved onto the heels of FROSTY BROWN and was hampered.  In the back straight OUT OF PUNCH was tightened for room and checked.

FAST AS was best to begin.  CYNO BIRD was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start CYNO GENERAL and MY SUPER bumped.  On entering the 1st turn MY SUPER was tightened for room and checked.  Through the turn into the back straight NOOREE DESSA and FAST AS collided.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide through the 1st turn.  Leaving the back straight into the turn MY SUPER improved onto the heels of FAST AS and was hampered.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide in the back and front straights.

Even start with EL MUFASA slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MAGIC SPARKLE and SUITE ALEXIS bumped.  DETROIT MUSCLE and EL MUFASA raced wide in the back straight.

GENTABLUE PET FOODS 4/5th GRADE 431M

DOOLEY’S HOBO was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start HEZA SIZE UP and OUCH bumped.  Through the turn into the back straight TRAP MAN, HEZA SIZE UP and OUCH were all tightened for room and checked.  On entering the back straight FAR FROM FEAR was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after AZARIAH was tightened for room and checked.  RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the back and front straights.  Out of the back straight into the turn OUCH was tightened for room and lost ground.  On entering the front straight AZARIAH and HEZA SIZE UP bumped.

 

The greyhound TRAP MAN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE 431M

TORPEDO MAN was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ALOTA CONTROL shifted in and collided with TWO BEERS, resulting in that runner being checked.  TORPEDO MAN which was trailing was checked and forced out wider on the track as a result.  ALEEAH JET and TWO BEERS raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound ALOTA CONTROL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

COOL CREDIT was slow to begin.  WESTERN HONEY was best to begin.  On entering the 1st turn COST A QUID was tightened for room, checked and shifted out wider on the track.  TWO MINUTE suffered an injury on entering the back straight and took no further part in the event.  Rounding the home turn into the front straight COOL CREDIT and ZARA GIRL bumped on several occasions.  Over the concluding stages ZARA GIRL was tightened for room and hampered.

 

The greyhound TWO MINUTE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanized.
