The greyhound EARLY SUPER performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.47.

GO THE SPOILS, DODSON and ON THE WALL were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn DODSON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  PAIR OF ACES and STALKING MOON which were trailing were checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound PAIR OF ACES was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M

DON’T WEAKEN, RED STORM and SEA LEGS were best to begin.  RED STORM was tightened for racing room shortly after the start, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion RED STORM commenced to give ground and retired from the race.  Rounding the home turn SEA LEGS shifted out and contacted TOP TELLER resulting in that greyhound being checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound RED STORM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Boody that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 A Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN FINAL 520M

SHEZA RULER was best to begin.  Leaving the back straight CYNO STEIN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SHEZA RULER which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence.  In the front straight during the run to the finish MOVIE MARATHON turned its head and shifted out failing to chase the lure with due diligence.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Bowe that the greyhound MOVIE MARATHON would be charged under Rule A Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

GATTON TYRE SERVICE NOVICE 431M

ARE YOU THERE was best to begin.  WITH HUNTER and WINDY GIRL were slow out.  CHASING RAINBOWS and FLASHING FERGO collided shortly after the start.  Rounding the 1st turn CHASING RAINBOWS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  FLASHING FERGO and WINDY GIRL which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  In the back straight WITCH HUNTER and FLASHING FERGO collided.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX NOVICE 520M

HERE FOR YOU and SPRING MARSHALL were best to begin.  COME TOGETHER and FROSTY BROWN were slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight HERE FOR YOU was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  COME TOGETHER which was trailing was hampered as a consequence.  Approaching the turn into the back straight FROSTY BROWN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight UNIQUE AFFAIR shifted out and collided with COME TOGETHER causing that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound FANCY THURSDAY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

NOOREE DESSA was best to begin.  CYNO MIRAGE and CYNO GENERAL were slow to begin.  BYE BYE was tightened for racing room shortly after the start, checked and lost ground.  CYNO MIRAGE stumbled and lost ground shortly after the start.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight MAGIC SPARKLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after CYNO GENERAL contacted the hindquarters of MAGIC SPARKLE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 431M

RUSTY’S IMAGE and TWO BEERS were best to begin.  HEZA SIZE UP and OUCH collided shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the 1st turn LUCY BENZ, SWAP YA, ALEEAH JET and WINDORAH JACK were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground to varying degrees.  Approaching the turn into the back straight WINDORAH JACK contacted the hindquarters of SWAP YA and was checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight LUCY BENZ was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

8.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 3/4th GRADE 520M

Even start.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight OH THAT’S NICE commenced to give ground and eventually retired from the race.  RICH ‘N’ WILD which was trailing was checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound OH THAT’S NICE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

Even start.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight UNIQUE KALEESI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  JUST A THURSDAY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight CUPPA TEA KIWI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

ARK UP and THIS TIME MADDIE were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn COST A QUID, BLUE POINTER and WESTERN HONEY raced tight resulting in all greyhounds being checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight STUART’S CHOICE and WATTA STEP UP collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight EL CAPO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the home turn WATTA STEP UP shifted out and made contact with EL CAPO resulting in that greyhound being checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound WESTERN HONEY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
