TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound MARLOW’S WALTZ performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.89 and is now cleared all tracks except Bundaberg.

 

The greyhound SHE’S ALL BLONDE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.79 and is now cleared all tracks.

Even start.  Shortly after the start COLLISIONATE and SMASHNIAK BARC collided.  On entering the 1st turn NOIRE CHERIE, MONLOR KIM and ON THE WALL all collided resulting in MONLOR KIM and ON THE WALL being hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight SMASHNICK BARC, COLLISIONATE, ICE PANTHER and SPRING LOLA all raced tight resulting in COLLISIONATE and SPRING LOLA being checked.  Shortly after SMASHNIAK BARC checked out across the heels of ICE PANTHER resulting in COLLISIONATE and SPRING LOLA being hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn COLLISIONATE improved onto the heels of MONLOR KIM and was hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight COLLISIONATE was tightened for room and hampered.  SPRING LOLA which was trailing was checked as a result.  ICE PANTHER raced wide in the back and front straight.  SMASHNIAK BARC raced wide in the back straight.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

PREMIER HONEY was best to begin.  DIDDY BOY and FARMOR FOR SHORE were slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn ALLPA MAMA was tightened for room, shifted out and bumped SAPPHO.  Through the turn into the back straight LONG JOHN SILVER was tightened for room and checked.  LONG JOHN SILVER then shifted in and bumped with FARMOR FOR SHORE on several occasions resulting in both runners being hampered.  Leaving the back straight into the turn ALLPA MAMA shifted out wide on the track.  Entering the front straight DIDDY BOY shifted out collided with ALLPA MAMA resulting in ALLPA MAMA being severely checked.  DIDDY BOY raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound ALLPA MAMA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN 431M

MISSED CONTROL was best to begin.  DON’T TOUCH was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start IXCHEL and MADAM INDI bumped.  On entering the 1st turn DISTANT SHORES shifted in tightening the running of PIZARRO which was checked.  DISTANT SHORES then continued to shift in tightening the running of CRUDE OIL which was checked.  MADAM INDI and FROSTY GAIL which were trailing were hampered as a result.  In the back straight FROSTY GAIL was tightened for room and hampered. CRUDE OIL raced wide in the back and front straights.

 

The greyhound DON’T TOUCH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer Mr. P Ruetschi was questioned in regards to the seemingly disappointing performance of the greyhound.  Mr. Ruetschi advised stewards that the greyhound impressed in a recent trial and that he had expected a better performance in today’s event.  He further added that the greyhound would benefit from having its 1st start and would expect an improved performance in future events.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

The start of this race was delayed due to an interstate thoroughbred event.

 

CHOPPER NORRIS and OPPORTUNE KNOCKA were best to begin.  On entering the 1st turn FARMOR DIVA, GEMMA BENZ and GEM EXPRESS all raced tight resulting in GEMMA BENZ and GEM EXPRESS being checked.  On entering the back straight TOMMY BENZ shifted out across the heels of LOWANNA and was hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn OPPORTUNE KNOCKA was tightened for room and hampered.  GEMMA BENZ improved onto the heels of FARMOR DIVA and was forced to shift out wider on the track to avoid the heels of that runner.  Through the turn into the front straight OPPORTUNE KNOCKA shifted in and bumped HANNAH ALLEN which was hampered.  In the front straight FARMOR DIVA and HANNAH ALLEN bumped on several occasions.  GEM EXPRESS and TOMMY BENZ raced wide in the back straight.  LOWANNA and TOMMY BENZ raced wide in the front straight.

HEZA NOIR was best to begin.  CUT THE CAKE and BENMESSO were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start STRIKE OIL and SHINTARO STAR collided.  On entering the 1st turn GO THE SPOILS, STRIKE OIL and SHINTARO STAR all collided resulting in STRIKE OIL and SHINTARO STAR being checked.  SHINTARO STAR then shifted out and collided with HARBOUR GYPSY.  CUT THE CAKE which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Through the turn into the back straight HEZA NOIR and SHEZ MY GIRL collided resulting in SHEZ MY GIRL being checked.  HARBOUR GYPSY which was trailing collided with SHEZ MY GIRL resulting in both runners being checked.  SHEZ MY GIRL then shifted out and collided with BENMESSOA which was hampered and forced out wider on the track.  Out of the back straight into the turn HARBOUR GYPSY was tightened for room and hampered.  HEZA NOIR raced wide in the front and back straights.

 

The greyhound SHEZ MY GIRL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

QUE SERA was best to begin.  Shortly after the start FROSTY BROWN and BELLA LEE collided resulting in both runners losing ground.  On entering the 1st turn GAGAN NANCY shifted out resulting in BETTY’S GEM and OUCH being hampered.  BETTY’S GEM and OUCH then collided resulting in BETTY’S GEM being severely checked.  BELLA LEE then improved onto the heels of BETTY’S GEM and was hampered.  In the back straight GAGAN NANCY shifted in and tightened the running of QUE SERA which was hampered.  QUE SERA raced wide in the front straight.

SPRING TRIXIE was best to begin.  On entering the 1st turn LEHMAN BENZ and SPRING MIA were tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after LEHMAN BENZ and SPRING MIA collided resulting in SPRING MIA being checked further.  SPRING TRIXIE and LEHMAN BENZ which were trailing raced wide in the back and front straight.

 

The greyhound ARABIAN SHREDDER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

HEZ SO FAST and SHYAN YAHOO were best to begin.  MR. TRANSPORTER was slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn SPECIAL VIRTUE and DON’T GO QUIETLY collided.  DON’T GO QUIETLY then shifted out and collided with MR. TRANSPORTER resulting in both runners losing ground.  Through the turn into the back straight MIRANDA ROSE HI and LIL’ BIT SPARKY were tightened for room and hampered.  Leaving the turn into the back straight GET INVOLVED was tightened for room and hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn MIRANDA ROSE HI, SPECIAL VIRTUE and DON’T GO QUIETLY all collided resulting in MIRANDA ROSE HI and SPECIAL VIRTUE losing ground.  MR. TRANSPORTER which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Out of the turn into the front straight MR. TRANSPORTER and LIL’ BIT SPARKY bumped.  HEZ SO FAST raced wide in the front and back straights.

WATTA STEP UP and HARA’S SAMUEL were slow to begin.  Out of the back straight into the turn WATTA STEP UP was tightened for room and hampered.  KILTY JACK which was trailing was hampered and forced out wider on the track.  Through the turn into the front straight FAMECHON was tightened for room and checked. On entering the front straight GUN DANCER and NORDOC MAGIC collided resulting in both runners being hampered.  Shortly after HARA’S SAMUEL improved onto the heels of ALOTA CONTROL resulting in ALOTA CONTROL being checked.  NORDOC MAGIC and FAMECHON raced wide in the back straight.  KILTY JACK raced wide in the front straight.

DODGY DANCER and GRAVITY WOLF were best to begin.  Shortly after the start CHAMPAGNE BENZ and JIMMY BRUTE bumped.  On entering the 1st turn COMMUNITY and JIMMY BRUTE bumped.  Out of the turn into the back straight COOL CREDIT was tightened for room and checked.  COMMUNITY was tightened for room and hampered out of the back straight into the turn.  DODGY DANCER raced wide in the front and back straight.
