The greyhound ZAFONIC FORCE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.92.

 

The greyhound VICKI’S CHOICE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.84.

The greyhound BLOZA performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.48.

 

The greyhound NAMROD performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.82.

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN 520M

ESSENTIALLY PURE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start ASTON CHANEL was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after PEPPER BEACH then shifted in and collided with ASTON CHANEL resulting in both runners being hampered.  Out of the front straight into the turn NOTHING ELSE improved onto the heels of STILL COMING resulting in that runner being checked and forced out wider on the track.  ASTON CHANEL which was trailing was hampered as a result.  ESSENTIALLY PURE was hampered and tightened for room. Through the turn into the front straight STILL COMING was tightened for room and checked. PEPPER BEACH, ASTON CHANEL and ESSENTIALLY PURE which were all trailing were hampered as a result. RUSEV raced wide in the back straight.

SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 520M

TOP TELLER, SHEZA RULER and SUNNYSIDE PARK were all best to begin.  Shortly after the start COOLIE NO CREAM, CYNO STEIN and MIGHTY NOVA all collided resulting in all 3 runners being checked.  On entering the 1st turn TOP TELLER, SHEZA RULER and SUNNYSIDE PARK all collided resulting in SUNNYSIDE PARK being forced out wider on the track.  TOP TELLER and SHEZA RULER were hampered.  LIQUID FUSION which was trailing was forced out wider on the track to avoid those runners heels.  Through the turn into the back straight SUNNYSIDE PARK and TOP TELLER collided resulting in TOP TELLER being checked and SUNNYSIDE PARK being hampered.  Leaving the turn into the back straight SHEZA RULER checked out across the heels of LIQUID FUSION and lost ground. In the back straight CYNO STEIN was tightened for room and hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn COOKIE NO CREAM was tightened for room and hampered.  Over the concluding stages of the event CYNO STEIN and MIGHTY NOVA bumped on several occasions.

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER NOVICE 520M

ROSDUE GOANNA was best to begin. I’M OUTTA HERE and MAKE THE MOST were slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn I’M OUTTA HERE was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn FROSTY AJAY and ISLA’S OPAL bumped.  On entering the front straight CYNO SNIP checked out across the heels of BATTY LOVES BEER.

 

The greyhound ROSDUE GOANNA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

O’REILLY PET FOODS3/4th GRADE 431M

LONESOME DUK was best to begin.  BLACKWOOD BURST was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start RUSTY’S IMAGE and SWITCH BLADE collided.  Through the turn into the back straight BLACKWOOD BURST, ALEEAH JET and SHOW BOUND all collided resulting in all three runners being checked.  On entering the front straight SWITCH BLADE checked out across the heels of SUPER LUIGI.  RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the back and front straights.

DUSTY WAY and GOLD DIVA were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SMACK DAB was tightened for room and checked.  On entering the 1st turn POCAHONTAS was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after MAGIC SPARKLE was tightened for room, checked and shifted out wider on the track.  GOLD DIVA which was trailing was hampered and forced out wider on the track.

 

The greyhound POCAHONTAS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 4/5th GRADE 520M

The start of this race was delayed due to a mechanic fault with the boxes.

 

Even start with CYNO MIRAGE slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ROCKY BE GOOD, MY AWESOME MAGIC and FAR FROM FEAR were all tightened for room and checked.  On entering the 1st turn UNIQUE GHOSTY and ROCKY BE GOOD collided resulting in UNIQUE GHOSTY shifting out and colliding with TARKS BLACK ROSE forcing that runner out wider on the track.  REPTAR which was racing to the outside of TARKS BLACK ROSE was checked as a result.  CYNO MIRAGE was forced out wider on the track as a result.  Through the turn into the back straight.  MY AWESOME MAGIC was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the turn into the back straight TARKS BLACK ROSE checked out across the heels of CYNO MIRAGE.  Out of the back straight into the turn MY AWESOME MAGIC was tightened for room and hampered.  On entering the front straight TARKS BLACK ROSE and CYNO MIRAGE bumped.  TARKS BLACK ROSE raced wide in the back straight.  CYNO MIRAGE raced wide in the front straight.

C2C CONSTRUCTION 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

REFUND REQUIRED and MY SUPER were slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight into the turn REFUND REQUIRED was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after FENRIR shifted in tightening the running of KNEW YOU WOULD, SUITE ALEXIS and KINLOCH BEACH resulting in KNEW YOU WOULD and SUITE ALEXIS being checked and forced out wider on the track.  KINLOCH BEACH was checked as a result.  Through the turn into the back straight MY SUPER checked out across the heels of KINLOCH BEACH and collided with UNIQUE KALEESI which was checked and forced out wider on the track.  REFUND REQUIRED was hampered as a result.  On entering the back straight REFUND REQUIRED and UNIQUE KALEESI collided resulting in both runners being hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn MY SUPER was tightened for room and hampered.  KNEW YOU WOULD raced wide in the back and front straights.

IPSWICH GRAND PRIX FINAL 731M

GOT A BROTHER was best to begin.  OBI KENOBI was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start GOLFING AMY was tightened for room and checked.  Leaving the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion LUNA JINX checked out across the heels of MULLAWAY.  Through the turn into the back straight LUNA JINX and OBI KENOBI bumped.  Out of the back straight into the turn OBI KENOBI improved onto the heels of HOUDINI HI and was hampered.  On entering the front straight on the 2nd occasion OBI KENOBI collided with GOT A BROTHER resulting in that runner being hampered.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE 431M

DUSTY’S CHANCE and LOGAN CITY were slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn THIS TIME MADDIE shifted in tightening the running of DECLAN’S BOY which was hampered and collided with WITHCOTT FLYER resulting in both runners being further hampered.  Through the turn into the back straight MADAM’S FLASH’S was tightened for room and checked.  DUSTY’S CHANCE collided with the running rail shifted out and then collided with LOGAN CITY resulting in both runners being checked.  Out of the turn into the back straight WITHCOTT FLYER and DECLAN’S BOY collided resulting in both runners being checked.  MAAM’S FLASH’S raced wide in the front straight.

 

The greyhound DUSTY’S CHANCE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th GRADE 431M

DOOLEY’S HOBO was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MONOCEROS, FARMOR MAYHEM and COST A QUID all collided and were checked.  Through the turn into the back straight MAYWYN’S YING and COST A QUID bumped resulting in both runners being checked.  SON OF PRADA, THRILLA MACHINE and ON THE RIZE all bumped resulting in THRILLA MACHINE and ON THE RIZE being checked.   Out of the back straight into the turn MONOCEROS was tightened for room and checked.  THRILLA MACHINE and FARMOR MAYHEM which were trailing was hampered as a result.  COST A QUID raced wide in the front and back straights.
