The greyhound AM LONG LONG was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M ESSENTIALLY PURE, SPICY BLACK and COOKIE NO CREAM were best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ESSENTIALLY PURE, SPICY BLACK and SHARP SONGAR were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight SPICY BLACK checked off the heels of WITHOUT FAIL shifted out and made contact with NOVA PARTY resulting in both SPICY BLACK and NOVA PARTY to be checked and lose ground. |

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M SHEZA RULER was best to begin. Shortly after the start FROSTY O’REILLY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front straight SHEZA RULER and LIQUID FUSION collided resulting in SHEZA RULER to be checked and lose ground. Shortly after FROSTY O’REILLY improved onto the heels of SHEZA RULER resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

GATTON TYRE SERVICE NOVICE 431M LALIQUE, WINDY GIRL and SUPERFLUOUS were best to begin. Through the 1st turn PUKUTU and GNARLEY GIRL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight LALIQUE was tightened for racing room, checked and fell as a consequence. GNARLEY GIRL was severely checked as a result of this incident with COMPLETE CONTROL, SUPERFLUOUS, PUKUTU all being checked as a consequence.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX NOVICE 520M FROSTY AJAY and MAKE THE MOST were best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ISLA’S OPAL, FERNLEE STAR, BATTY LOVES BEER and CYNO SNIP were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the front straight FROSTY AJAY was tightened for racing room, checked and fell as a consequence. CYNO SNIP which was trailing was severely checked and fell as a consequence.
The greyhound FROSTY AJAY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M Even start with the exception of OREO DELIGHT which was slow to begin. Shortly after the start OREO DELIGHT retired from the race. Leaving the front straight HESA BIRD and PETITE ZIP ZIP collided resulting in PETITE ZIP ZIP shifting out and making heavy contact with MAGIC FLY HIGH causing both greyhounds to be severely checked and fall and take no further competitive part in the race. SMASH EM DOLLARS ane UNIQUE KALEESI were checked as a consequence.
The greyhound PETITE ZIP ZIP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound MAGIC FLY HIGH was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
The greyhound OREO DELIGHT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mrs. P Carrington that the greyhound OREO DELIGHT would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M Even start with the exception of DUSTY WAY and REALITY GHOST which were both slow to begin. Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion WISH YOU WILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front straight BIG WINSTON, MY AWESOME MAGIC and UNIQUE MOTIVE raced tight resulting in each greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Shortly after the start DUSTY WAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight MY AWESOME MAGIC was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Leading into the back straight UNIQUE MOTIVE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. REALITY GHOST which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence. |

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 431M YOUR DEAL, SUPER LUIGI and LONESOME DUK were best to begin. Through the 1st turn SPRING DODGER and SWITCH BLADE collided. Shortly after SWITCH BLADE improved onto the heels of HARRY BAILEY resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. Entering the back straight SHAYLOR SAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SWITCH BLADE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
The greyhound HARRY BAILEY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. C Byers when questioned regards to the greyhound’s performance in tonight’s event was of the view that HARRY BAILEY was having its 1st start since 14 June 2016 and was expecting a very good showing and he supported the greyhound in tonight’s event. He stated that HARRY BAILEY had missed the start and in his view contributed to where the greyhound finished in the event as it is on the pace leader where it needs to run to be successful. He further stated that the greyhound is an excitable greyhound and he previewed the greyhound today which is his normal practice however, in hindsight he may review that in future race starts. Through the 1st turn SPRING RAYMOND was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. PACIFIC HARBOUR which was trailing was checked as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the back straight SON OF PRADA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight SOCIAL DANCER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. ZABDON LA ROWSEY which was trailing was checked as a consequence. SPRING RAYMOND was hampered as a result of this incident. |
