TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound MAJESTIC JESTER performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.38. The greyhound was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

RACE REPORTS

1.

SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 520M CECA STRIDE was best to begin. WITHOUT FAIL and FROSY O’REILLY were slow to begin. RUSEV and MINDY’S DREAM bumped at the start and were both checked. Shortly after the start ESSENTIALLY PURE and COOKIE NO CREAM collided resulting in ESSENTIALLY PURE losing ground. On entering the 1^st turn FROSTY O’REILLY shifted in tightening the running of ESSENTIALLY PURE which was checked and forced out wide on the track. Through the turn into the back straight CECA STRIDE and COOKIE NO CREAM collided resulting in both runners being hampered. COOKIE NO CREAM then shifted in tightening the running of WITHOUT FAIL which was checked. FROSTY O’REILLY was hampered as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn COOKIE NO CREAM and CECA STRIDE collided resulting in COOKIE NO CREAM losing ground. In the front straight MINDY’S DREAM shifted out and made muzzle contact with COOKIE NO CREAM. FROSTY O’REILLY was hampered as a result of this incident. RUSEV raced wide in the back and front straights. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Hazelgrove that the greyhound MINDY’S DREAM would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1^st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK NOVICE 520M AUCTION REJECT was best to begin. Shortly after the start BENTAXLE and SPRING MARSHALL were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after JAYDEN’S A STAR was tightened for room and checked. Approaching the 1^st turn ZIVA’S LASS shifted in and collided with SUNNYSIDE PARK resulting in ZIVA’S LASS being checked and forced out wider on the track and SUNNYSIDE PARK being checked. ZIVA’S LASS and JAYDEN’S A STAR bumped in the back straight resulting in JAYDEN’S A STAR being hampered. BENTAXLE raced wide for the majority of the event. ZIVA’S LASS and JAYDEN’S A STAR bumped on a number of occasions over the concluding stages of the event.

3.	GATTON TYRE SERVICE 5^th GRADE FINAL 520M UNIQUE KALEESI was best to begin. SUNNYSIDE JAY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start WISH YOU WILL was tightened for room and hampered. On entering the 1^st turn CLOVER FIRE shifted in tightening the running of UNIQUE KALEESI which was checked, shifted out and collided with BIG WINSTON which was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn BIG WINSTON and SIZEABLE collided resulting in SIZEABLE being hampered. On entering the front straight WISH YOU WILL checked out across the heels of UNIQUE KALEESI and collided with DUSTY WAY, resulting in both runners being checked.

4.	GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 3/4^th GRADE 431M GET INVOLVED was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SUNDAY SUNRISE shifted out and collided with UP THE ATTITUDE and then continued to shift out and collided with GET INVOLVED, resulting in SUNDAY SUNRISE being checked. On entering the 1^st turn ARABIAN MELODY was tightened for room, shifted out and bumped UP THE ATTITUDE resulting in both runners being hampered. Through the turn into the back straight FABULOUS KATIE and GOLD TOTAL were tightened for room and checked. SUNDAY SUNRISE raced wide in the back and front straights.

COL HARRIS GOLD 0 – 3 WINS HEAT 1 630M JUST SPIFFING was best to begin. HOUDINI HI and ISLA’S OPAL were slow to begin. Shortly after the start BACKYARD YAPYAP was tightened for room and checked. Out of the turn into the front straight on the 1^st occasion FAST GIRL ZOLA was tightened for room, hampered and shifted out forcing REALITY GHOST out wider on the track. Through the turn into the back straight IMA COWBOY shifted in and bumped UNIQUE AFFAIR and was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn FAST GIRL ZOLA and IMA COWBOY collided resulting in both runners being hampered. Shortly after UNIQUE AFFAIR was tightened for room and lost ground. BACKYARD YAPYAP raced wide for the majority of the event. IMA COWBOY raced wide in the front straight on the 2^nd occasion.

COL HARRIS GOLD 0 – 3 WINS HEAT 2 630M SHIFT SEINE was best to begin. Shortly after the start TECHNO LADY was tightened for room and lost ground. Through the turn into the front straight ALPHA PLUTO was tightened for room and lost ground. On entering the front straight on the 1^st occasion REFUND REQUIRED was hampered after IN THE CROSSFIRE shifted in. Through the turn into the back straight ALPHA PLUTO improved onto the heels of IN THE CROSSFIRE resulting in both runners being hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn SKITTISH EXPRESS was tightened for room and checked. GLEBE KID which was trailing was checked as a result. OUT OF PUNCH raced wide in the back straight. TECHNO LADY raced wide in the back and front straights.

7.	COL HARRIS GOLD 0 – 3 WINS HEAT 3 630M HERE FOR YOU was best to begin. Shortly after the start PASSIVE PROTEST and MAGIC SPARKLE collided resulting in both runners being checked. Out of the turn into the front straight on the 1^st occasion OCTOBER SPRING and SPEEDY’S MATE collided resulting in SPEEDY’S MATE being checked and shifting out wider on the track. SOUTHERN FLOSS which was trailing was hampered as a result. Through the turn into the back straight SOUTHERN FLOSS checked out across the heels of PASSIVE PROTEST and lost ground.

Shortly after the start EL CAPO and GEORGE GALLON bumped resulting in GEORGE GALLON losing ground. On entering the 1^st turn BOOM WARRIOR checked out across the heels of MAGICAL YESSAM and bumped KING SIZED which was hampered. Shortly after FLASH HOUDINI improved onto the heels of BOOM WARRIOR, shifted out and collided with EL CAPO, which then shifted out and collided with HEIR OF KING. All runners lost ground. Through the turn into the front straight FLASH HOUDINI checked out across the heels of EL CAPO. GEORGE GALLON raced wide for the majority of the event.

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5^th GRADE 520M LONESOME DUK was best to begin. MY SUPER was slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn UNIQUE GHOSTY checked out across the heels of FENRIR and collided with SHANAE’S MAGIC forcing that runner out wider on the track. Shortly after SHANAE’S MAGIC improved onto the heels of UNIQUE GHOSTY and was hampered. DODGY DANCER raced wide for the majority of the event. GUN LEGACY raced wide in the back and front straights. The greyhound LONESOME DUK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

GJ WALSH & CO 5^th GRADE 520M At the start RHONDDA MINER and TORPEDO MAN were tightened for room and lost ground. On entering the 1^st turn PHANTOM LAD checked in across the heels of GIFTED ANGEL and lost ground. TORPEDO MAN bumped RHONDDA MINER forcing that runner out wider on the track. Through the turn into the front straight FROSTY BROWN was tightened for room and hampered. ARE YOU THERE raced wide in the back straight. RHONDDA MINER raced wide in the back and front straights.
