Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound MAGIC IN ME performed a
satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.67. |

RACING MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M THUNDER
OF FIRE and HAPPY GLEN were best to begin.
RUSEV was slow to begin.
Through the 1st turn STRONG STEP, SPIRITUAL MAN and THUNDER
OF FIRE raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Shortly after STRONG STEP,
SPIRITUAL MAN, THUNDER OF FIRE and HAPPY GLEN raced tight resulting in all
greyhounds to be checked and lose considerable ground. SPRING ROCCA, HAPPY GLEN and BOGIE COMET
were severely checked and fell as a consequence taking no further competitive
part in the race. RUSEV raced wide in
the back straight and commenced to give ground approaching the turn out of
the back straight. The
greyhound SPRING ROCCA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound HAPPY GLEN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound BOGIE COMET underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
RUSEV underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the near hind fibula and was stood down for a period of
14 days. |

GATTON TYRE SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M Even start with the exception of PARIS AUGOGO and DON’T
TOUCH which were both slow to begin.
Shortly after the start BLUE TROUBLE shifted out and bumped SPRING
DOTTIE resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Through the 1st turn BLUE
TROUBLE, SPRING DOTTIE and SHEZA JEWEL raced tight resulting in all
greyhounds to be hampered. |

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICE MAIDEN FINAL 431M The ‘all
clear’ on this race was delayed to allowed the judge the opportunity to view
the stewards’ patrol film of the run to the finish. GALA SHOW and
FAST XARA were best to begin. Through
the 1st turn KIKEM STORMY and TROUBLING TIMES collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. AINIA which was trailing was checked as a
consequence and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight GALLON checked across the
heels of PHONICS and was momentarily hampered. In the front straight PHONICS and FAST XARA
collided. Shortly after PHONICS turned
its head and made muzzle contact with FAST XARA. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. J Watts that the greyhound PHONICS would be charged under
Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

were best to begin. RUMBLING JAKE was
slow to begin. Shortly after the start
BENTAXLE and MAGGIE BENZ bumped.
Through the 1st turn GIDDY UP PATSY was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after TIP YA CAP was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. |

ROSEWOOD
& DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 3/4th GRADE 431M SIMPLY MAGIC, VICKI ROSE HI and SOCIAL DANCER were best
to begin. YOUR DEAL and BLACKWOOD
BURST were slow out and collided shortly after the start. Through the 1st turn ANGEL
PRINCESS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after ANGEL PRINCESS improved onto
the heels of VICKI ROSE HI and was checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight VICKI ROSE HI
and ANGEL PRINCESS collided resulting in ANGEL PRINCESS to be checked and
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the front straight ANGEL PRINCESS and VICKI ROSE HI collided. The greyhound ANGEL PRINCESS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th GRADE 431M BOXING ROO GIRL was best to begin. MARLO GOOD was marginally slow to
begin. In the back straight MARG’S
MEMORY and MAX WEDGE collided resulting in MAX WEDGE to be checked and lose
ground. Leaving the back straight MAX
WEDGE and DOOHAN TIME collided resulting in DOOHAN TIME to be checked and
lose ground. DODGY DANCER raced wide
in the back straight. |

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M NINJA LLOYDIE and LONESOME DUK were best to begin. GOTTA BE BLACK was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SEIZED ASSET and
RAZEN TOAST were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight FROSTY BROWN was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound GOTTA BE BLACK underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back
and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th
GRADE HEAT 2 520M LEIGH’S MIMSEAL and MAKE THE MOST were
best to begin. Shortly after the start
CYNO ROSE and TIBETAN DREAM collided.
Leaving the front straight LEIGH’S MIMSEAL and LOGAN CITY collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
LEIGH’S MIMSEAL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK 5th
GRADE 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start MEDIA CIRCUS was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Through the 1st
turn NORDOC MAGIC was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
back straight SPRING TRIXIE was tightened for racing room and lost
ground. PRATER’S PROBLEM which was
trailing was severely checked as a consequence with both greyhounds losing
considerable ground. Entering the back
straight GAGAN NANCY and SPLENDID STAR collided resulting in SPLENDID STAR
being checked and lose ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight MEDIA CIRCUS was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight in the latter stages
of the race MAGIC PASS turned its head in the direction of ZAFONIC FORCE
which was racing to its outside. Stewards advised trainer Mr. A Stevens that the greyhound
MAGIC PASS would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 2nd
offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

licenced trainer Mr. K Boan failing to retrieve WITHCOTT FLYER from the
kennels within the prescribed time.
When considering the matter of penalty stewards took into
consideration mitigating circumstances, his very good record and his guilty
plea, K Boan was fined the sum of $100. Even start.
Shortly after the start THURRUNGO, BARTHOLOMEW and STEP BACK LASS all
raced tight. Through the 1st
turn GLENALLON ZULU, WITHCOTT FLYER, ALOTA THOUGHT, THURRUNGO and BARTHOLOMEW
were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground to varying
degrees with STEP BACK LASS falling and taking no further competitive part in
the race. Rounding the turn into the
back straight GLENALLON ZULU and ALOTA THOUGHT collided resulting in ALOTA
THOUGHT to be checked and lose ground.
BARTHOLOMEW and THURRUNGO which were trailing were hampered as a
consequence. Entering the front
straight WITHCOTT FLYER and THURRUNGO collided. The greyhound THURRUNGO underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound STEP BACK LASS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
